Ipswichs bid for Palacios was £15 million and was rejected. They'd have to up their bid a lot to pull that one off i think.

Let’s be honest about two things:
Nobody looked good for us that night.
Moore is a good striker and causes a lot of teams problems.

He wants to go to the Prem i think so if they are the only ones in I guess he's interested? I reckon they'd have to double that offer though, the well might finally be running dry.

I'll be honest for that money i reckon i'd rather pick up a player who doesn't break down that regularly. Although i wouldn't say no, obviously.

I think it actually IS Ryan Manning and he mis-spoke when he said it's not the lad from Southampton that everyone is banging on about.

Unless I've missed it, there has been no real talk about Manning and us, certainly not enough to comment that "everyone is banging on about" him.

I think he was talking about Bueno and meant to say the lad from Wolves and he accidently let slip that it was a Southampton LB that we had bid on.

It may be wishful thinking on my part as I quite like Manning and he was on my list of Champ players that I'd like to see us go for.

Manning is better than Dasilva, there's a body of evidence for that, but i'd find it incredibly underwhelming. He is also better than Leif Davis mind who is grossly overrated.

Moore is excellent, but losing him 3 times in 1 game is inexcusable for a CH with PL experience.

We weren't at our best thats true, but we still scored 2 goals away from home and would of taken something from the game had it not been for Woolfenden's abject performance (which also cost us our unbeaten record)

Im struggling to remember such a shit performance from a single defender in all my years following the club, and trust me there's been some real howlers in there,
Including the second half performance against Southampton away in 1984 where the game was 0-0 at half time and we let in 8 goals in 45 minutes!

No, Manning is too old, just on the numbers he was undoubtedly the best LB in the league last season though. A low bar i admit, as i said its a position with a weird lack of quality at Champ level.

There will be sells mate. We’re just waiting to get our incomings done and then there will have to be departures. At least 5 will go out if not more depending on how many more come in.

It’s a position with a lot of decent options elsewhere, but until something happens I’ve no idea what we’re playing at to have got to the point where Dasilva is starting at Arsenal.

Manning has quite exceptional delivery i will give him that. Maybe that is something we want to make use of. We'll find out soon enough, not too long left of the window now.

If Lampard/coaching team think he’s good enough and he’s available at a decent price, I wouldn’t be overly concerned about him being 30, especially as we’ve got a relatively young squad and backline

Said before I’d probably lean towards solid and good delivery when it comes to LB. Maybe I’m being a bit dull but if our attacking options perform and with having Dasilva who can play a more offensive/tricky possession type role in that position, that’s what I’d be looking at.

Simms has looked good preseason, yeah, friendlies granted but I think he has upped his game with the new arrivals. He is the type of player that needs a kick up the arse. His goal against Middlesborough was my goal of the season. If we can get the best out of him I still see him as an asset to bring on off the bench. He could even push for a start.

I am sure there will be, but we are doing it in the right way and not letting anyone go until we have first got better replacements
