2026/2027 kits

Not into cars so can somebody please explain what the fuck our pink 3rd kit has to do with Detroit?
Yep, don't get it. Detriot Lions play in a light blue and their away kit is silver.

As for the kit, it looks like they've got them the wrong way round - the outfield shirt should be the GK shirt and the GK shirt should be the outfield shirt.

And a small thought - rather than a '3rd' kit why don't we have it as a 'cup' kit. Though for that our actual home kit would make a much better cup kit.

Detroit City FC aren't lilac/pink either.

why? the have sold and absolute fuck ton on the home shirt, i'd be shocked if it isn't our biggest seller ever once all is said and done.

You don't like them, that is fine but your first statement is hypobolic nonsense

You like them-I don’t.

and your point is? If we are making a shit load of money then the "commercial team" hasn't let anyone down

The issue is you don't like the kit which is up to you but it is a massively different thing

Point is obvious to those with brain.

Doesn’t matter what we had worn it was always going to be a best seller because it’s the first in our return to the top league.

If it had been a skyblue kit with a black collar then we may have sold even more.

If’s, buts and maybes. We’ll never know but definitely a missed opportunity.

And as for those saying no one else has got a kit like ours-Brighton play in blue and white stripes.

Sales are not in any way a barometer of whether the kit is nice (which is entirely subjective in any case). They club could have released absolutely anything and it would have become our biggest selling shirt of all-time just because of the club's profile now.

This is Brighton's home kit this season

A bit of the blurb stood out

'The latest release from Hummel completes our collection of on-field kits for our first season back in the Premier League'

We've had four kits the last few seasons, I find it hard to believe that we wouldn't carry that on for the most lucrative season in club history.
We will, I'm fairly sure of that.

Yeh doesn’t look too bad in all fairness, if you put a proper badge on rather than the monochrome one it’s decent.

That looks class.. The concepts are so often better than what the club finally come up with

Third kit will fly out, its going to look so much better in person.

Dunno why but I just assumed there'd be a similarity for all the sporting teams. Then I remembered the baseball team tend to play in grey and the ice hockey team are red. Basketball team are blue though I think.

Having said that I did see this picture looking up Detroit FC
DCFC: The Detroit Football Team That Breaks Rules — And Wins Games

So although it's not the same it's similar to the third kit. Wonder if they're having some sort of Sky Blue away/third kit to reciprocate?

Doug on the pitch before the 1st home game:

'Brothers and sisters!
I wanna see a sea of hands out there!'

MLB teams tend to wear Grey as their away kit.

Nothing, but they seem to have approached the local football club (the step below MLS) for some sort of link up. They're going to show our games in their clubhouse (or whatever the equivalent is over there) and hope they show a bit of interest.

They're obviously trying to see if they can drum up a bit of interest there based on shared industrial heritage.

Have they been putting the kids sized PL badge on the shirts?

Compared the PL badge on the home replica to another teams and ours is significantly smaller

Anybody else noticed this?

They're the same size, it's just that stripes are thinning.

The shop aren’t putting the player size PL patches on the shirts for some bizarre reason. They look tiny.

I bought the player sized ones from eBay and applied myself. Looks much better.

Player/adult/kids in photo.

Don't you have to pay 7 quid at the club shop to get the PL patches on the sleeve ?

Just bought last seasons shirt as it's £30 in the online club shop and the variation in sizing is crazy compared with previous seasons.
I have some of the Hummel shirts that still fit perfectly in small, but I'm going to have to go large with last seasons as medium is too small!
Seen comments complaining about sizing before, and you'd think keeping it consistent would be pretty straightforward.

I'm also 90% sure I've not gone up two sizes worth 😂

The sizing seems to be completely random.
I got last season's pro home shirt in large and it fits ok - I got last season's away shirt in the sale and it's 3 or 4 inches longer.

It's a nice enough kit. The problem is that fans want sky blue. If this had been a third kit, suspect there would have been much less noise about it.

A lot of our kits in the 80’s and early 90’s weren’t sky blue

Very disappointed with this year's shirts poor design, poor quality. We are the Sky Blues let's see some Sky blue & bring back embroidered badges. PUSB.

I got the non-pro version of the third shirt and it looks nice, but the quality feels pretty cheap.
Felt like the material used in the earlier Hummel kits was a lot better, but maybe that's what you get with the pro versions.

Not read through this thread, CBA, just think the kit is decent this season and can't understand negative vibes earlier this summer.

I think as an entire kit it is great, just shirt on its own is reasonably good

Think fans of other teams have a better opinion of our kit than we do :)

The new home shirt's growing on me, as they generally do. I bought the pro version for the first time ever and I reckon it's probably worth the extra money for the overall nicer feel. Less shiny than the basic replica. I'd normally get an L but the pro M fits fine this time round.

It reminds me of the 91-92 shirt in a darker blue. I tried the 91-92 on this evening for the first time in decades and it's massive. Looks ridiculous. I always used to buy XL, probably it was fashionable back then. However, it is made of a really nice material that's like the 'pro' fabric nowadays.

This must come across as fastidious, self-absorbed stuff but I have had these sentences in my head all day.

Kevin Gallacher! Robert Rosario! Micky Gynn!
