Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth - Permanent (7 Viewers)

That pod became quite cringe I thought as Dawkins has cosied up to King so much. I noticed how he completely supported the club over the season ticket stuff which anyone can see was a miss step. Then he teases with supposed transfer news. Bit wank really. You can’t do a podcast and be looking over your shoulder to what the manager and owner thinks .
Hes quite clearly trying to play a Simon Jordan kinda role on the podcast

Cock-er-ney wide boy Dawkins.. what’s with all that shite.. he’ll be wanting pie and mash at every food stall soon!

Wonder if thats Henderson
I said it yesterday, only way he'd know is if its Hamer which makes me suspect something is in it. He clearly has no links to the new bunch at all as he hasn't got anything correct in regards to leaks for a long long time.

just want some credible rumours. absolutely bored stiff

Problem is I can see Brighton pointing at that to try to justify their pricing of Rushworth.
No way. Trafford is an England international who has already had two big money moves, including a 30 million one last year to the richest club going. Also has Premier League experience.

If anything, be using it to say 20/25 million is more than enough or fuck off.

I feel the same way but I suspect Brighton will spin it differently…

I was also surprised at the approach he gave re the Season Tickets - I expected far more criticism but he probably has far more disposal income it doesn't hit home as much?

If it's today or tomorrow , I'll just be happy it's over with and he signs, been going on for far too long now

What follows is total speculation on my part - so it’s probably nonsense - but I wonder if the way out of the impasse is a season-long loan to us with an obligation to buy if we stay up.

We could, for example, pay a loan fee of £5 million and have a purchase price of £25 million. I don’t think we would have much to lose because, let’s face it, if we buy him now and get relegated he will want a transfer to a Premiership team. With a second season in the top flight we will be better placed financially to afford the £30 million that Brighton supposedly want.

Personally I’d be happy with this.

We can afford the £30m now. we are just trying to get the best deal possible

Brighton wont sanction a loan unless he signs a new contract.

Who do we put in goal for 2 games against Brighton that Rushworth won't be allowed to play in?

I still suspect we wont hear anything until 1st August

I wouldn’t be against this if it's the only way they'll deal, but we need to be careful with loans as only allowed 2 and one of those definitely should be a striker that we otherwise couldn't likely afford. I'm hopeful of someone like Delap.

we've had about 15 pages of, "is today the day?"
who signs on a Tuesday, losers, losers sign on a Tuesday.
think hes a Thursday 5pm kinda signing, y'know?
