technically yes, in reality no. They don't pay us for an hour in the middle of the day
All that would happen is you'd have an hours more work to do at the end of the day. One guy who started here finished on time every day and got dragged into a meeting to be given a bollocking for not being a team player.
You will not be surprised to hear there's a policy of not paying overtime or giving TOIL as 'its already factored in'.
I've worked long enough to have worked at pretty much every type of business. The difference in how the workforce is treated at SMEs compared to larger companies is very noticeable. Not a coincidence that those companies don't tend to have union representation.
I’ve never seen that. Why indeed? Bizarre.People writing the the number in word format, e.g. ten but putting (10) in brackets next to it. WHY?
Make sure you communicate in writing and on the record to demonstrate that you are fulfilling your contractual obligations.Yeah get a new job then.
Get there on the dot, have your lunch break, leave on the dot.

Ripped out? I would change your dentist…My dentist does out of hours appointments, which are near impossible to get due to demand. Manged to get one this morning to get a tooth ripped out.
Person in before me (at 7am) was a pensioner just having a regular check up. Why not go when everyone else is at work???
