I have a real soft spot for Hull. My real Dad came from Hull and throughout the 70s I went to Boothferry Park so many times as we were always up there visiting family, they lived on Hessle Road. Can remember quite clearly seeing the trains arriving at the ground, which had its own train station. Watched the Humber Bridge being built over the years too. At the end of every year (maybe October?) we used to make a special trip up there as they had a massive Mop fair, which was always good fun. Fond memories. Still enjoy our trips up there, my lad and I went up for our game in April. Parents split in 79 so never went up there after that.

In the bull and anchor with you nick

Cunts had better learn that the queue goes down towards the back of the restaurant then. Nothing worse than the away fans just walking up trying to get served.

Wonder if MVE will be involved? IF his move is close, then no, but may have just been hot air again?
Maybe, maybe not. A couple of years back, Hamer turned out against Leicester first game of the season and Wimbledon in the Cup. Then he was off, so who knows?

I'd usually do a predicted starting XI at this point during the game week, but I get to thinking about who is starting upfront and my soul dies and drifts away.
We have been spoilt in the last few years.... cast your mind back to some strikers we had a bit longer ago, your soul will quickly recover (e.g. I remember Clive Eakin - normally enthusiastic - quite clearly losing the will to live while trying to commentate on our efforts to attack when someone like Marcus Tudgay was brought on off the bench. Tudgay was by no means the worst either!)

Marcus Tudgay header against Walsall away, great times

Are we all convinced Haji is that far away? By the time you’re getting minutes on the pitch you’re generally only a week or so off.

Not sure we've had any official update have we? But I would imagine he is a little behind the others having not really had a full preseason. For that reason I'd be surprised to see him start (but happy if he does!)
