Yeah, I'm a bit baffled at their confidence after reading their forum. They lost their Manager, have only made free transfers due to an embargo, finished 4th bottom last season and were probably the worst team we played at the CBS. Whereas we made the playoffs, have a better GK now, at this point lost no players. I'm not sure what i'm missing.Hull fans I work with are insanely confident about tomorrow, more so after signing (checks notes) Oli McBurnie.
I'm never that confident, but would disappointed if we don't pick up a win here. Expecting a nervy 2-1.
Is it a bad thing that I would like to see Simms start ahead of BTA, if Wright isn't fit?

In terms of home games i'd say all of Plymouth, Oxford, Blackburn and Sunderland (league fixture) were poorer on the day than Hull last season.Yeah, I'm a bit baffled at their confidence after reading their forum. Things need to be truly desperate for any set of fans not to be optimistic at the start of a season. Nobody (or at least very few) foresaw us completely shitting the bed for the first few months of last season...Yeah, I'm a bit baffled at their confidence after reading their forum. That's only because we couldn't play the home game that was scheduled as first game of the following season because of the pitch debacleNot only was Forest the last opening day victory, it was also the last home opening fixture. Bloody EFL
9 more likelyFound this 'expected lineup' for us tomorrow. We must be starting with 10 men tomorrow?!

Will we risk MVE???Rushworth
MVE Thomas Kitching JDS
Grimes
Torp Rudoni
Sakamoto Simms EMC
Would love to start Wright but he will be nowhere near fit enough
I think we have to given that KKH went off injured last week. Will we risk MVE???
Yes fair, forgot about that (or perhaps repressed it)That's only because we couldn't play the home game that was scheduled as first game of the following season because of the pitch debacle

Hope he's brave enough to start Torp over Sheaf ,think Torp offers way more going forwardRushworth

I dont mind the idea of Sheaf and Grimes against the stronger teams, I just think against these "weaker" teams, we should feel comfortable with Grimes anchoring infront of the defence and Torp going forward with Rudoni.Hope he's brave enough to start Torp over Sheaf ,think Torp offers way more going forward

I know Robins would 100% choose sheaf and grimes always as he was cautious, I'm not sure what Lampard will do.
If memory serves, the offer came in after that game?Hamer played against Leicester before moving

No I agree, I've backed him up many times when it comes to his defensive contribution. Sheaf is just a much more safe option, and more likely to sit and have license to get forward like Torp would.Torp is actually pretty good defensively, makes lots of very subtle interceptions

Like this. Why not roll the dice - if it doesn't work out it's not as though we're not used to shit starts.
Look at the team that started last year vs. Stoke. Aside from Bidwell for JDS, and Rushworth in - it's identical.Would preferably want Torp to start over Sheaf. They'll sit back and counter. Having that extra bit of creativity on the pitch will be key to getting points this season.

BTA
Bit of a tough call on the front man, but I'd give it to asante for a few games and see how he does. If wright is fit i would imagine he would start over both BTA and Simms but let's see. 2-1 a reasonable scoreline I think.

Worrying about the lack of progress (and that the side selected that day lost to Stoke - and were rubbish)
