Swift would not be a good pick up imo. Average at best for wba on very high wages, thier fans happy to get shot. We’ve got far greater needs than a john swift type.

You’re not selecting the team. If you want to play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 and you don’t have the personnel available to do that, it’s a problem.

5-3-2 has served a purpose and given us balance against tough opposition. That said, we have 3 quality players that are wingers in EMC, Wright and Sakamoto.

Lampard may want to play a 3-4-3 if he likes the 3 CB and WB shape. He doesn’t have the personnel to do that either.

Getting another in just makes the squad even more unbalanced when everyone is fit and at the moment we are performing better in his unfavoured formation. Fair enough if he can play more than one position but people said that of EMC.

Wright was apparently telling people he would be back early Feb. We just bring in this guy and MvE gets injured against Leeds we have 3 left wingers, no right back. What if Tats gets injured, CM, LB, CB? There are loads of places I would look first.
