Coat firmly on...

Here's my attempt at crowbarring the Time Warp lyrics to fit 😬

🎶He'll pass to the left
And then he'll pass to the right
Watch where it lands as the ball dips,
Such a tease as he flicks it to Wright,
But it's the upfield burst,
That really drives us insane

Let's do the Vic Torp again
Let's do the Vic Torp again🎶
I was thinking

It's just a pass with his left
And then a shot with his right
Gives defenders the slip
As he breaks the line
But it's his midfield thrust
That really drives us insane

Let's do the Vic Torp again.

Whoever your source is has you on more than mine

He trained today for the first time
Robins said in his cwr interview that he trained Friday, when asked if the reason for not playing was not ready or international clearance, Robins stated it was the clearance issue, and that he trained yesterday with the lads - being friday

Why all these convoluted attempts to try and discredit a poster? Sounds to me like there's a simple explanation - Slowpoke based his comment on the Robins interview?

To be fair since Friday was the day before the match I imagine it was a more tailored session, and obviously quite a light one physically so not quite a 'proper' training day for someone just coming in.

But for Vic - it was great his first matchday experience was Saturday and I'm sure our 4,000 at Wednesday will produce quite some noise as well so by the time he does get on the pitch he'll know exactly what it means to play for this club. Hoping for a cheeky cameo and then maybe a start in the cup game.

You OK mate? Someone said it was hard to make a song with his.name, and I happened to have seen one, so put it on here. Apparently you've decided that makes me gay 😳. For your information, I'm not, but have slept with a couple of blokes who were🤪

To the tune of Molly Malone

In the Midlands fair city
Where the girls are so pretty
I first saw a goal scored by the great Dane Victor Torp
As he ploughed through defences shallow
Past centre backs broad and narrow
Singing "we'll go hiking, with our viking - and to prem we will go"

To the tune of lord of the dance

Torp, Torp, plays for the city
They make lego in his home country
Doug signed him from a club in Norway
And he'll lead us all to the prem one day

Torp, Torp, wherever you may be
They make Lego in your home country
We think you look.. a bit David Bowie
Number 29 for the Coventry.

Best I can manage. I've run out of weed.

I liked this but I can categorically deny that I wasn't one of them

Given the Bowie lookalike - I propose the following

Ground Control to Major Torp
Ground Control to Major Torp
Eat your smoked fish
And put your viking helmet on
Ground Control to Major Torp
Commencing countdown
Engines on
Check ignition
And may Dougs love be with you
Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Liftoff
This is Ground Control
To Major Torp
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know which sky blue shirt you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule
If you dare
This is Major Torp to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating
In a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today

Fuck's sake!

14 pages! (and I appreciate I'm contributing to those numbers), but...
He hasn't even kicked a ball in anger yet.

He might be Hamer mk.2
He might be Bright Enobakhare mk. 2

Give the lad a chance, but he's definitely not the new messiah.

Just over every forum chat being overtaken by making songs about every player. Trying to fit lyrics of songs into a players name, do these things actually take off?
Surely there’s better things to do than sit imagining what song fits with players names… surely ‘most’ of you blokes are all over 30 yeah?

Bit sad. Get a more productive hobby

Won't be long before we have verses and a chorus to these songs.

Keep it simple,

Victor, Victor Torp. To the tune Daddy Cool - Boney M

Something like that could be echoing around the ground as opposed to the mumble mess that is the Sakamoto song.

Don’t sully Bright’s good name. Choose Lee Sawyer instead.
