[Nick]

That's embarrassing.

[Nick]

He needs to book him

[Brighton Sky Blue]

Ridiculous VAR

[Nick]

How have they given it?

[Deleted member 5849]

How is that ever a penalty in real time, let alone after a review?

[Paul Anthony]

I honestly can't believe that.

[thekidfromstrettoncamp]

Another VAR cock up.

[wingy]

How have they given it?

Cos he gave one earlier.
Joke of a decision going nowhere.

[David O'Day]

VAR says there is contact and so what? Not all contact is foul, he is clearly no brought down and dives.

Shocking

[Nick]

Klopp is a prick
Commentator is unbearable

[rondog1973]

Off pitch match officials infinitely worse than the worst on field.

[Nick]

Anthony Taylor show

[David O'Day]

Anthony Taylor needs to be sacked from reffing full stop

[wingy]

Commentator losing it there.

[Grendel]

Newcastle have been a shambles

[Paul Anthony]

In fairness, Liverpool should have had that won by half time.

[Brighton Sky Blue]

Newcastle have been a shambles

Howe's departure seems inevitable

[Tommo1993]

Officials gotta be in big trouble after that farce.

[Paul Anthony]

Officials gotta be in big trouble after that farce.

It's Anthony Taylor again. OK, VAR should have grown a pair and said no, but how much more trouble can he be involved in before someone starts asking questions?

He'll be at the CBS against Lesta won't he

[Paul Anthony]

He'll be at the CBS against Lesta won't he

Wouldn't surprise me!

[Mild-Mannered Janitor]

Taylor loves giving it when the guy falls 2 seconds after any kind of non contact made, cost us at Preston, remove him from the game

[Frostie]

How wasn't joelinton booked?

Oh it's Anthony Taylor

Because it's the Law, he played advantage:

That Jota penalty however is everything that's wrong with football & VAR.
In real time you can see why Taylor thinks it's a penalty but VAR has to intervene surely. The argument will be there is contact & so therefore not a "clear & obvious error" but that contact has not forced him to fall or even inconvenienced him really. What happened to "contact with consequence"?
Sums up why VAR is utterly pointless & actually damaging credibility & decision making leading to more flak for referees rather than improving it.

[thekidfromstrettoncamp]

Watching in real time you could see there was contact but never enough to give a pen. That dive was terrible and he should have been booked.

[SlowerThanPlatt]

Timo Werner back in the Prem with Spurs, could be a good move for all concerned with the Euros on the horizon.

[Wyken Sky Blue]

Might not be the game of the highest quality premier league-wise but could be a great game to watch as both Burnley and Luton will think this game is winnable!

[wingy]

Get to be a goal.

[SlowerThanPlatt]

That’s when you know you’re going down

[David O'Day]

He looks at him then backs into him? Wow

[Tommo1993]

Good. Goalkeepers are far too protected.

[Blind-Faith]

Fucking dirty cheating cunts , i fucking despise them!
