I'll say it now. It anyone claps him when he plays for Burnley our place, I will throat punch them.
Remember someone clapping Andy Morrell when he scored against us, throat punched them too.

Better get the attack owls ready then

So apart from various twitter rumours, nothing official yet. Certainly no bid had been accepted on Saturday afternoon as he wouldn't of played. So I take it Burnley still haven't met our valuation, or payment terms. So the rumours are that basically they expect Burnley to come back again.
He's not gone yet
My mate works in a carpet shop in burnley (flattened out cardboard boxes) and apparently O'hare is up there for a medical as we speak.

If you want to make money then football ownership isn't for you.

I apologise for wanting owners that give a shit about the success of the club and not their own bank balance. I'll remember that isn't important in future.
But we don’t have those owners.

Maybe a few more hundred comments saying “if only SISU had invested a few million in January and we would have made the play offs…” will change that.

Well no, but let’s not pretend and keep calling it “investment”.
Investment implies a return at some point.

what people want is a sugar daddy.

They are a high risk investment fund so it would be an investment

He’s training with us today
Always feel a bit sorry for the Twitter admins in situations like this. People asking for photos of them at training. They ignore it and everyone starts saying 'HE's GONE!' and they post one of him training today and if he left tomorrow there'd be a baying mob saying 'BUT YOU TOLD US HE WAS STAYING YESTERDAY!' such is the life of the modern day social media user.

I heard it was closer to 45% plus a 10% fee for any other player we sell over £5mil

Amazing how detailed the things some people hear are.

Doesn't everyone though? Football shouldn't be a business (and by that I don't mean run a club irresponsibly). It's never been a vehicle for anything but losing money, but a Sky TV deal and formation of the Premier League with less trickle down of cash has led to high risk high return chancers, crooks, nutters and mad(wo)men

Of course they've always existed, but not as default!

When we first went down we signed Lee Hughes from the Baggies.

We would have been the equivalent of Burnley (just relegated and tipped to go back up) and them us (mid table Champ club) at the time.

Baggies went up , we didn’t and the least said about Hughes the better.

(Trying to find a slither of positivity if we lose Cal)

Still not quite done then! Wonder what the hold up is. BD seemed convinced it was done and dusted yesterday

Burnley flying to Portugal today for a week. Playing Newcastle over there next Saturday. All a bit weird re: timing if it is happening, and you wouldn't have thought he'd be training with us today if it was practically a done deal, as nobody involved would want the risk of an injury.

The more recent example is McSheffrey to Birmingham - they had just come down. We replaced him with Kevin Kyle and Leon McKenzie.

He scored about 15 goals and Blues went back up

Women have it easy with all this Sugar Daddy talk. Sugar Mummy doesn't sound so good and might be a bit weird, can I call her by her real name or do we have to stick to the incest thing all the way through?
