I did see/hear this before my feed cut out and it sounded overwhelmingly positive on ifollow.

Didn't hear any booing certainly, although I'm not sure if they fuck with the audio levels.

I've had a look @Otis and it looks like the nearest training camp is in China...

I know some of the players aren't massive fans of the physical fitness challenges they get during their pre-season training but I actually think this year's pre-season training for us fans was even worse.

I missed the England games at the Euros cos the state media channels wouldn't play them and I swear that during mid July I got to the point where I said to myself if I hear one more thing about the importance of dialectical materialism I was gonna turn pro and take my chances with the bloody bleep test instead

As a black City fan, I find most of the responses to this thread somewhat reassuring. There's no way I'd want to go to a game - any game - if fans around me are going to protest against what one senior government official called "gesture politics."
Different for me yesterday sitting next to all the people I sat with in the last season at the ricoh before brum. There’s a lady come on her own and she’s now part of our little family. She was so proud to stand and applaud the team taking the knee as an British asian lady I could do nothing other than join her to say a you are my family and b Dabo you don’t have to experience comments like in the week here. There were boos not many but there were boos

The same gesture given to child abuse, murders, suicide, domestic abuse etc! What about you?

Not much child abuse, murder, suicide or domestic abuse taking place within football stadiums, though. Plenty of racism, so players are taking action to make that point. If you can't get your head round that, feel free to just admit you don't like black people. I think you'd get more respect doing that than making bullsh*t arguments.

Most people would think pretending to catch nonces is weird though mate
Why pretending? So mr high and mighty, who sits on skyblues talk half their life, brings me into the conversation 2 days after I commented thinks he knows what I do with my life? That’s weird isn’t it?

So we only worry about what goes on in football grounds then? Nice one

Racist because I said you can boo if you want or don’t boo if you want hahahaha freedom of expression makes me racist because I differ from you? Hahahaha

Nope because you only seemingly pop up twice a year to post on friends about race

Still whatever floats your boat

It's a few seconds. It doesn't detract from my game experience and doesn't affect my life. Carry on kneeling guys if that's what you feel is necessary.
It's reduced to less than 10 seconds. It looks very half hearted . It's run its course. The very fact that Dabo and quite a number of other players are receiving abuse shows that it isn't really achieving anything, if it ever did.

Some players (not singling out any club) look almost reluctant to kneel down and can't wait to get up. It's becoming just a tiresome habit.

Didn't we play a match last season at QPR where neither team took the knee and it was endorsed by Les Ferdinand ?
Didn't a black Crystal Palace player refuse to take the knee towards the end of last season because he felt it's gesture politics ?
It's time for black players to retire this collectively and adopt another strategy because it's not working.
