Before the season yes but Wycombe were always gone, Sheffield Weds had a deduction and we were ahead of Rotherham so really if he’s half as good as some claim it’s not a massive achievement is it
Nope. It's an achievement, but I was kind of hoping for midtable to be honest. We can still do that of course.

Can I shock you? I don't have his contract details.
Going by the story it is said to be "a lot" which stacks up with him signing a long term deal with us.

No one knows and these things all come with caveats - I hope the club wasn’t dumb like when they offered pressley 4 year deal

He's only ever done well in management at 1 club .

A club with money

Robins aside , Bristol should be aspiring for a better manager than nigel Pearson

Pearson's interview after losing to us was embarrassing. Some prefer the chest beating types though to actual forward thinking plans & philosophies.

We battered them with both an inferior squad & apparently an inferior manager who has "lost the dressing room". Impressive.

His managerial record outside of Leicester is pretty dire when you consider the clubs he's worked at

And Bristol have some good players and he can't get results

Not sure what's funny @Grendel , you can see for yourself his managerial record is pretty poor outside of Leicester, a club with money

It's there in black and white .

Relegation expected.
Staying up is an achievement absolutely no question.
Bristol have noticed him because we may stay up and we haven't spent a lot of money and the way we performed against them in the most recent match. I think they are going to tighten their purse strings and think he can do a job on a budget. I am not sure it would be a wise move for him. With us if we stay up he is a hero if we go down he is likely to have another good season with us and be seen as a hero again. Just not sure what budget he will get for a striker if we do stay up

Robins hardly chops up trees outside of one club either

Their owner has long admired Robins that's where the (tenuous) link comes from.
The story is all ifs, mights & maybes, just Nixon putting 2 & 2 together as obviously a slow news day.

Ofcourse , managing at Huddersfield, Rotherham and Barnsley comes with a similar remit as Southampton, Hull City, Derby county ,Watford and a club in Belgium that won promotion the season he was sacked.

His record with us is similar to thorn in the championship

Like Cotterill at his peak he seems he can generate results at levels below this one but that’s it

Two managers with resources far weaker than the rest of the division in a relegation battle. How surprising!

Your stats are selective and ignore his record at other clubs
