Austin has history with qpr, surprised actually that West brom letting him go. Signing a striker is really difficult as none of us know what sort of money if any that's available and must say if maybe there's a solotion in the club maybe kastaneer or bapaga as these 2 over baka can't be any worse and hope there given there chance.

I’d prefer seeing Kasta up front than Baka

He's West Broms highest earner on £70k a week, they were desperate to let him go.

Every West Brom fan I know says his legs have gone and are happy he's left.

Yep, my mate is the old West Brom reporter for the Express and Star and back in December said he'd be surprised if he could even do a job at the bottom of the Championship anymore. I was surprised as he has always looked a decent striker, especially at Championship level, but he wouldn't say that lightly.

Not sure what the fuss is about, wouldnt exactly call a 1 in 4 striker at L1 level and a 1 in 5 at L2 level "Quality"

It's the SBT way SkyBlue CP.

Any of our players with a similar record = constant derision/calls for immediate dismissal of the player and a taxi for the manager who signed him/Samaritans hotline lighting up if that player is subbed on in the 88th minute (due to an injury crisis).

A player with a similar record from another club = the new Messi/sign him up Robbings/and immediate calls that he be handed the number 9 shirt as a certain starter.

Couldnt agree more, i for one would be disappointed if we signed Gnaduillet, and would be concerned that we are pinning our Championship survival goals on him!

I see Charlie Austin has left WBA on loan to QPR for the season. A goal poacher still only 31 and maybe someone we could have done with right now? I guess the wage ratio is too high for us?

Injury problems and high wages would have been a risk but if he can stay fit he could be a cracking signing for QPR

Too old and overpaid. Not for us. Big gamble.

Too old? he's 31. What's the gamble on a striker of his calibre when what we have is rank hopeless at the moment with our two main strikers out for a long period? We need to gamble to survive. We need goals. I think MR's would have taken him in a heart beat and paying his wages will have been the exclusion for us tbh.He will help QPR a lot who sit just below us in the table.

In addition. He's crap.

His wages add up probably more than all 4 strikers we got at the moment.

Would be a very expensive gamble.

We don't need to gamble to survive. We are from last chance saloon. We have done ok with 1 striker. Practically played with 1 up front all season.

Besides Walker will be fit soon in matter of weeks. Still can do with a back up. Doubt we break the bank for one. Unless we get a few outgoings

Well like I said, MR's I'm sure would have taken him in a heart beat BUT for his wages which puts us out the picture.
As a side to what you say....Charlie Austin in the championship would not be crap!

I wouldn’t have him. High wages and he’s not worth it. Offers nothing outside the box. Very unlikely he’ll do well at QPR.

Not sure about the fixation with a striker? We are creating chances so an attacking midfielder with a good finishing technique may be a cheaper solution.

If we can bag a bargain fine, but I dont see the point of just more of the same.

He hardly ripped up any trees last season whilst playing in the Championship? He only scored 10 league goals in over 30-odd appearances. A number of Baggies fans actually think he's past his best as injuries have taken their toll so it'll be interesting to see how he fares for QPR.

At the end of the day QPR have clearly put all their eggs in one basket with this one to stop the rot. Maybe another manager will get the best out of him again, but hopefully not though.
