Supporting villa in their last game. Never thought I would say it. Don’t want home games Friday and Sunday. Only travel from Leicester but not keen on lots of night travel

Council involved mate (3rd party). Won't deal with Sisu out of spite (and possiblyshitting themselves about EU complaint). They hide behind Wasps but CCFCs statement implicates them regarding wanting damages if THEIR sale to Wasps is deemed to be dodgy.
Why should CCFC pay damages for that.
What hold have they over wasps ? Can’t a deal be done without them involved ?

What method of transport. Just curiois

St. Andrews - helicopter
Ricoh - pogo stick

in seriousness I think Evo lives in Tile Hill so I totally agree with what he's saying. Getting to work in Brum doesn't take me much longer than getting to the other side of Cov.

Brighton were exiled from Brighton for years, they haven't come out of it that bad. Doesn't mean we will but it can be done.

it was 2 years wasn’t it?

Hmm I am in holbrooks and tile hill aint that far away. Certainly not as far as gettinf to st Andrews imo. But i guess I would have to do a times experiment to prove it

Ultimately it is what it is, Ricoh isn't the be all and end all and if we're better off financially at St Andrews for the time being then so be it. A- we returned to the Ricoh once before after playing away and it was good for 1 game and then the crap football meant we suddenly took for granted being in Coventry again. B- we've only lost 1 league game in Birmingham and the players/staff have adjusted to it and developed into the best we've had in years and should be well supported regardless of where we play. I always remember a post pointing how much Bury FC fans would snap your hand off at a chance to still have their club despite playing 20 miles out of town...

I have, every week for years.
Admittedly I finish at 3 and when I'm picking my son up I get him at 5 or 6 so it's not quite a like for like comparison because I'm travelling across Cov and the peak of the rush hour.

Worst of all, we're preventing thousands more potential new fans...

We're not preventing anything. Wasps and the "third party" are.

They are talking crowds back to footie in October so first few games could be behind closed doors I suspect the EFL would be after a decision as to where we will be playing so hopefully things could change, nearly three months yet. Still keeping fingers crossed.

Some reght knobheads on Twatter.

Most of them can’t even fuckin read so can’t see the statement the club have released.

Hands fuckin tied and of course even Shmeee can agree that if going back to the Ricoh is detrimental to CCFC then they shouldn’t go back.

I hope they fuckin go under those scabby Wasp bastards and everyone who voted for those cunting council twats should be fuckin ashamed of themselves.

Yes I am fucking angry.

They’ll get a huge handout I reckon. In the millions

I’ll make the lengthy trek to some games at St. Andrews when Covid allows, but with a very heavy heart. Really hope the team entertains us like they did last season, because all the other stuff brings mental pain. My thoughts for what it’s worth are:

SISU – catastrophic misjudgements and incompetence for at least the first 6 or 7 years, notably dropping the offer to the charity from £5m £2m, employing a string of no-hopers to run the club, trying to screw elected politicians for the “unencumbered freehold”, and taking CCFC hostage at Sixfields thinking they were the only game in town. Playing a much better game lately, Joy has become visible and I do like Boddy, but why did it take over 10 years to see the light?

Wasps – a plastic entity that went from a London club to a South East franchise to a West Midlands franchise, and whose fans didn’t do much to stop it. Knowing nothing about club rugby, I thought they had a secure place at the European top table, which at least brought something to the area. But they are sinking into the mire on and off the pitch. Their attempts to impose the indemnity clause on CCFC leave me speechless – how insulting can you get?

CCC – had sympathy for their stance back in 2012 or so, when the option of handing over the keys on SISU’s terms must have been politically impossible. I foolishly assumed there was a plan when they brought Wasps in, with a big buyer waiting in the wings to embrace the stadium and both clubs. That’s still what I’d like to see tbh but there’s so much debt all over the place, personal feuds and such a shitshow, I can’t see it happening. Should have realised there never was a plan.

Somehow, the above parties (+ others) have engineered a situation where a city like Coventry now has two debt-laden sports clubs operating well below elite standard, one barely viable 30,000 seat stadium and another 20,000 one on the horizon. Are people really happy to play in bloody Birmingham and wait at least 5 years for a Lego arena which is even further out of town than the Ricoh, thinking it will be a new spiritual home?

Beginning to think for the first time that Wasps folding is our best hope, and not an unrealistic scenario.
