Is it just from specific outbreaks they have traced? Not sure what that sort of increase in R number relates to in a real world situation. Could something like the meat factory outbreak account for it?
The meat factory thing is a worry, we've had our own outbreaks in meat factories, I wonder how long the virus can live on the meat and whether it was all traced and destroyed or already on the shelves?
Not the first time we've had issues with these sort of facilities either. We're quick to demand things be shut down when they're in far flung countries but maybe we need to sort things out closer to home as well.
I think everyone feels like that.

They are. Pubs, restaurants, hotels, hairdressers etc and a reduction in the safe distance from 2 to 1 metre I reckon.
I think it's too soon personally for the pubs but people are just going to have to try and look after themselves if they're concerned.

Pub near me has yet to have any guidance, so they won't have much time to put it in place.
surprised at that to be honest. I know a couple by me who have put protocols in place.
The hairdressers where my wife works was given their opening date and a list of guidelines and protocols they have to implement weeks ago.
I’m surprised I haven’t heard from my barber. I imagine due to his political views and the email he sent in May he’s for ending lockdown ASAP, he opened bookings for May 16th first then had told cancel them all. So he’s obviously raring to go.
They've got until July 4th to think of some effective track and trace system. Pen and paper was being talked about yesterday which is an absolute madness in my view but I suppose better than nothing. They should really pick up that open source code from Germany and try and get it going in two weeks.

It's a freehold, so no brewery guidance. Suspect the little man's being ignored atm in favour of the conglomerates. I never really liked the place, but the landlords been really good to my parents through this, so I want to see them thrive in return.
my missus thinks it's quite possible she won't be able to make it pay given the restrictions, it's going to be tough on a lot of small businesses.

I know 2 pubs near me that are and have put measures in place. I wonder if there's some federation or organisation that some are in and some aren't and that's where the guidelines have come from?
Yeah I don;t think the guidelines are government issued as they hadn't given any to salons that were reopening and admitted it would take too long.

I remember when I stated we needed to spend big on recovery certain folk here couldn't grasp it.

Do they publish daily hospital admission numbers? If thats falling as well its certainly a positive.
Still need to be very cautious. Looking at other countries the risk seems much higher indoors and where distancing is relaxed.
