yes and I reckon the key point you make is “people need to step back”- all this stuff is being normalised, we are so used to bullshit, lies and these people creating an alternate reality that we actually have to challenge every single thing we hear, you can’t trust anything from anyone. He won't go, he doesn't give a shit about the polls, this country doesn't rely on a system of coalitions so you end up with 5 years of whatever the ruling party wants, it doesn't matter to them if they poll at 0 for the next three years because they can get through whatever mad shit they want. Johnson can't function without Cummings and Cummings doesn't give a shit about precedence, respect or the rule of law. The press will eventually move on.
