Thought I'd be in all week though had the day off today. Got a call this morning saying they'd shut the place until further notice.
Supposed to moving a production line to another plant over Easter but that's up in the air.
Had a call with the fella project managing the move and he's been told this could last until May.

I work in a café which closed on sunday and I am now a furloughed employee. My wife does accounts for an IT support company and she is working from home and our son does whatever school work is set each day, goes out in the garden for an hour for a kickabout and spends the rest of his day on his xbox

Working from home which I do most of the time so it's not a massive change from me.

Oh, apart from the wife commandeering half of my desk space.

Oh, having to look after a 17 month old toddler who seems to have unbelievable reserves of energy.

Other than that though, situation normal.

Still in work, but will be from home mostly from tomorrow, just popping in for short periods when needed or things I can't do from home, eg scanner.

Goverment to announce measures for the self employed soon.
The wife is self employed so I'll be watching with interest.

Yeah my brother runs a tiling business in Warwick. Usually has 6 weeks work ahead of him at any given time.
Lots of cancellations from old people who don't want him in their homes understandably.

Got a weeks work in the diary

On annual leave this week, back to work on Monday.

Will either be WFH or comeplete some system testing in the office. If I'm in the office, I'm likely to be the only person in there so happy either way!

Working from home full time (IT stuff). Usually do 1-2 days wfh anyway. I could most certainly get used to wfh f/t. Great flexibility - went for a motorbike ride this afternoon and I'll catch up with a bit of work later on (or not...).

Attended an 'extended senior leadership meeting' this morning by teleconference (it's when we senior management plebs get to join the bigger boys). 2 hrs of touch-feely talk about 'how we doing' whilst our teams actually do stuff. I decided that a good use of the time, after introductions, was to make a vegetable moussaka. By the time it went in the oven, people were crayoning on a virtual whiteboard so I decided to get the bike gear on.

Went in y'day afternoon. Shifts were scheduled to be running until late this evening then trickle down for off track areas for rest of week.
They pulled the production early - Finished 2.30 y'day, then email today for rest of us to stand down until further notice.

Been retired for just over 10 years so nothing too much different for me. Apart from having to self-isolate due to my heart condition, life is really quiet. Managed to get shopping in today with no problems. Just heard on BBC News that a group of people in Coventry were having a bleedin' barbecue ferchrissakes! Are they mad???? Jeez!!

Our MD has finally seen sense and shut the factory down for six weeks, I have to dial in at 9am every day during the week, and have been given vpn access to the server.

Still going to work, full time. (Heavy engineering)
Apparently we have key government contracts.
We are observing very strict new rules though.

I work from home full time, so no change for me. Just hoping the factory in another part of the countries stays open, which relies on construction continuing.

Been working from home since last Thursday. Last week was great as kids were with their Mum, today and yesterday they were with me. I’m shamelessly letting them stay up reading at night so I can work for a couple of hours while they’re sleeping in the next morning.

Saw that on Foleshill Police Twitter.

I’m at work in a Social Care role. Everyone is. Non essential services closed, thus releasing 60 people to go to priority areas. Older people’s services and learning disabilities. At the moment we are way over capacity but we are expecting changes soon.

staff will have to self isolate, service users likely to be in life threatening situation if they get it.

I had to do two journeys along Foleshill Rd today. Some people were walking on their own.
I have to say, roads seem quieter. But I saw so many groups of people gathering along Foleshill Rd. I wonder if there is a lack of information for people at times. I’ve no idea why their behaviour hasn’t changed.

Still off. Been off sick since last Monday. I work weird shifts so will also be off this weekend and then I’ve got my monthly week off anyway. Getting screens and a phone and a laptop sent to me from work tomorrow to work from home when I’m back at it.

Personally I think it's just plain ignorance. Stupid behavior

Good news you're feeling up to doing a bit of work.
