We have gone from scoring in the last 5 minutes to scoring in the first 5.

Both make me feel like im going to have a heart attack

Exactly, was no different to the one on Godden.

That wasnt a penalty defdender got the ball. But the nudge in the six yard box and the handball were better shouts for Coventry.

I’m at the airport at the moment. I’m hoping to watch it when I’m home. Sounds like we really put in a shift at the back. I have a silly question what was the attendance?! I have a bet with a W<€<~p fan that we will have a larger attendance at St. Andrews for this game than they did at their last home game...

Definitely. I am an advocate of accidental handball, but many officials would have given that as a pen.
Yep. I think the ref missed a few/let things go a little. The booking on Marosi was ridiculous. I also thought it looked like it could’ve been a push on Kelly.

The defender going through Godden would have been a foul anywhere else on the pitch.

Weird how refs deploy different rules in the box sometimes.
Agree that this was a pen. Don’t think the handball was. Similarly, their shout for a pen was a legitimate one.

Ozturk's "handball" may have been, depending on how the referee interpreted the rule:

The following handball situations, even if accidental, will be a free kick/penalty:
  • The ball touches a player’s hand/arm which has made their body unnaturally bigger

The following will not usually be a free kick/penalty, unless they are one of the above situations:

  • The ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from their own head/body/foot or the head/body/foot of another player who is close/near
  • The ball touches a player’s hand/arm which is close to their body and has not made their body unnaturally bigger
From the players positioning, I'd be more inclined to say it was not a pen, based on the first of the 2 no penalty rules above. His arm was not overextended and he was almost directly behind the Cov player, giving him little time to move his arm away from the ball.

But we won. Time to move on.

That was immense. A terrific team performance, I thought everyone put in a full shift today.

Really, really, impressed with O'Hare, there's no end of skill in the lad but what really caught my eye was how much effort in put in. He looked absolutely shattered at the end; he might be a loan player but you can see how much he wants the team to win.

Chuffed to bits, basically. :)

He has a tenacity and energy way above this level.

I went to the game with a neutral, and agreed we were the better team and Sunderland didn’t offer that much. Their best chance was the goal that was offside - he called the offside as soon as he seen it.

We’re all a bit bias to our own team, but again, he felt like we had an obvious penalty shout denied.

3 points and top of the table. What a great day!

I am enjoying it, considerably, making it clear to the usual low intelligence posters that we were not “poor” by any definition. We were huge, all over the pitch.

You want a game of football on the deck? We’ll beat you. You want to rough it up and lump balls forward? We’ll beat you. We can adapt to whatever the opposition want to do, the mark of champions.
Yes, 10 wins and 3 draws from 13 games isn't luck

Just watched back the offside goal. How was the lino even questioning whether it was an offside or not? Sun in his eyes or not, it was blatant!
Exactly, now I've seen it I can't see how it was even questioned

I assume he thought the deflection was off a defender or none at all. The referee really was only influenced by the voracious appealing I suspect - 9 timed out of 10 it would have stood
