Gauke has just described the meeting with the PM and chief brexit negotiator yesterday and they asked about the proposal to replace the backstop and basically told we could tell you but we won’t. I’m reminded of Will Ferrell and John C Reilly in the Film Stepbrothers. I’ll just remind people, this is the actual prime minister I’m talking about.

You should have a go at yourself for claiming that May’s deal keeps Britain in the EU, as it’s Brexiteer bullshit and misinformation.
So what is the bullshit?

Why don't you name the bullshit out of what I said?

Yet the opposition refuse an election against a minority government

I know this is a talking point and you’re being dutiful and spouting it constantly but it really isn’t damming at all. Of course they’re not going to go for an election yet.

Move on.

Indeed because they don’t give a flying fuck about the people they pretend to represent and are only interested in their grubby careers.

No one will move on, this will be remembered when the election arrives

You’ve had enough of people exercising their right to freedom of speech?

You’ve previously tried to claim that it would keep the UK in the EU, which simply wouldn’t have been true.

It was reflective of the complete incompetence of the Brexiteers, their arrogance and lack of planning. And the contradictions about leaving and the promises made by leavers pre referendum.

Even now, where are these alternative solutions?

The UK’s choices led to May’s deal and was reflective of its weak negotiation position and lack of preparation. I’m sure none of them even considered the issue with the north of Ireland the impact it would have.
I said it would keep us tied to the EU. Nowhere did I say it would keep us in the EU. I said being in the customs union would stop is from making trade deals. I said it would mean we have to keep making payments to the EU. I said we would also have to keep freedom of movement. And we wouldn't be able to leave until the EU says so.

So what part is wrong?

Do you think you’ll remember Boris’ empty promises that you were clinging onto early yesterday as a cast iron promises?

If they were only interested in their careers surely they’d be pandering to the leave vote.

If a party has that in a manifesto and gains a majority in Parliament to allow one of course

Can you show me the part in any manifesto where it says that the opposition should agree to an election when Boris’ lies come home to roost?

Because it would have taken the UK out of the EU. It would have left the European Union.

But carry on posting opinion pieces by the extreme Brexiteers to back up your points.

You’ve gone on for ages about how the EU would be desperate to do a free trade deal with the UK, the backstop was designed to keep an open border if this was not achieved.

The EU was also open to other technological solutions, but guess what? The UK didn’t hasn’t come up with any.

Yet more misinformation.

May’s deal would have meant an end to Freedom of Movement but there would have been a transition period.

Unless you’re now claiming that the deal included keeping Freedom of Movement?

Unfortunately apart from remaining,it was probably your best chance of being able to move to France with your family in the short to medium term.

I see Kent councils resilience report dismisses what the PM was claiming at PMQ this morning as does the yellowhammer report which also it seems doesn’t even work on the worse case scenario it works on a reasonable worse case scenario so the actual worse case scenario could be even worse.

I’ve just posted, the best is probably May’s deal meaning keeping FoM.

Unless you’re now opposed to any kind of deal, as this too would also include FoM.

Er I think manifestos tend to be about policy and I can’t recall a policy that has ever said something along the lines of supporting a minority collective to deliver a policy that the government as the elected representative of the people will not enact

I’ve also never known an opposition party run scared when the gift of an election is on offer

What a shambles the government are. Is this what was meant by taking back control?

That’s a labour MP bill. What’s it to do with the government?

Or of course Mr Corbyn isn’t as stupid as to believe that everyone is as gullible as you and will dribble in the corner believing his fantasy world and will in fact give Mr Johnson a majority - that’s why he’s hiding under the table isn’t it

You do get that I have been calling his desire for another election misguided for months on end? For the very reason that he would get his arse handed to him?

Sad as if an election were to be fought on domestic policies alone Labour would win handsomely-as evidenced by Johnson frantically promising spending increases across the board

Honestly you are making no sense. Anyway looks like parliament will now be having a 4th reading of Mays bill so now we can see if the opposition parties truly want any form of Brexit or not.

Ken Clarke has just told Boris to grow up, stop treating this as a game and start taking the responsibility his position demands.

Awesome Tony. I mean ken is such s wonderful honest guy isn’t he - especially if you are smoking. Why even quote this wanker?
