It isn't reasonable at all, the season ticket is for all home league matches played in a season. It doesn't specify a number.
So if you buy a product on the understanding it will provide you with 20 of something but the vendor refuses / can’t provide all 20 of whatever, that’s ok? If it was 10 games they’d missed that would still be ok? Where’s the line?

This is a joke. I've been in the 'queue' twice now and both times has lead to '0 results'.

We'd better bloody win!

:/

Just the Neville's though. The others don't have a connection with Bury. Obviously Scholes is Oldham. I'm guessing someone like Salford was easier to all agree on as there are less pre-existing loyalties.

The Cliff training ground (where the Class of 92 was formed) is in Salford, not sure if that's got much to do with it. Old Trafford is almost in Salford (I can see it from where I'm sat in Salford currently)

I'm just saying the contract has been fulfilled - you sign up to terms and conditions when you buy one. I've copied below the terms for a single match ticket, but the principle will be the same for a season ticket:

https://www.eticketing.co.uk/bwfc/Common/CustomerNotice/TermsAndConditions

THIS TICKET IS VALID FOR THE DATE SHOWN ON THE FACE HEREOF OR ANY OTHER DATE TO WHICH THE MATCH MAY BE TRANSFERRED, BUT THE PRICE OF THIS TICKET WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO THE HOLDER IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IF THE MATCH HAS TO BE ABANDONED.

This is bizarre. Wonder what’s going on. It’s given the impatient fans on social media a kick up the rump, all good entertainment.

Still don't see why fans can't just pay on the day, then the club can hand the money to the administrator

Because the club (Bolton) are in turmoil? At a guess.

Well, quite, we all get that and sympathise. Turmoil or not though, it doesn't mean you have to stop being courteous to supporters. Whether they are stupid to do it or not, people are sitting there refreshing their browser constantly. I'm in no rush, but there are supporters clubs down here taking bookings for coach travel which will have paid deposits for coach hire who might now be getting a little twitchy. I think it is perfectly reasonable, after 5 hours, to expect an update and some indication of timescale. It is just good manners really, and this applies even more to their own supporters who continue to be shat on it seems.

Regardless of the Ts & Cs, if you pay for something you don’t get, you have a reason to be miffed. That is all I said.

The above quote says if the match is abandoned, it wasn’t abandoned it was cancelled, there is a difference.

Your rights:
Can I get a refund on my ticket?

There is potential there though it’s a city in its own right and we know they are not going to suck support from United or City but a lot of Mancs locals can’t. get or afford Premiership tickets
A fair few United "fans" have gravitated towards Salford, Cheap local games with 3pm Saturday kick offs watching a relatively successful team. I think the new ground made a lot of difference

Would you really want staff that hadn't been paid for months handling £1000s of cash?

If the club is still in administration it should be postponed. It’s impossible to think an administrator is going to be able to take on the task - whoever the buyers are I assume have agreed some kind of payment to go ahead but as the window for transfers is closing they have no players really do they?

I can’t see how the game can go ahead and they and bury are definitely relegated anyway it’s a disaster but this game can’t realistically go ahead

It is a disaster but from a footballing perspective one would say this is the best opputunity for three points ratehe than later in the season where they may be stronger.

How will they get stronger? They can’t sign any players?

As it stands, we're probably looking at Friday for ticket sales. One day might be OK if everyone has to print at home, but how can they possible plan security and catering etc. when they have no idea how many will attend on the eve of the game?

Despite all the 'it's going ahead' stuff, I cannot see how it can.

Assuming their takeover goes through, I imagine the EFL will allow them to sign players under exceptional circumstances, emergency loans etc. And you can sign players not under contract at any point in the season.

People moaning they thought it was about tickets.

Although the lead would last a matter of seconds when on his debut, Stuart Beavon fired into the bottom corner from just inside the box to put Russell Slade's City side ahead.

But, with seconds remaining on the clock, City suffered heartbreak when Clough scored his second of the game in injury time.

What a strange mix of the bizarre and yet familiar that Bolton game was looking back on it:
Bizarre:
Beavon scored!
Tudgay scored!!
Beavon and Tudgay both scored in the same game!!
We scored immediately after their equaliser.
We were winning twice in one game under Russell Slade

Familiar:
Moment of ridiculous defending from Ryan Haynes
Gave away a lead twice
Poorly defended late equaliser

We have a lot to thank Robins for - look at the state of the team then:

  • 1Burge
  • 22Sterry
  • 7Clarke
  • 4Turnbull
  • 24Haynes
  • 27Thomas
  • 6Rose
  • 12Reilly
  • 11Reid
  • 16Beavon
  • 20Tudgay

Could the league relegate Bolton and Bury now on minus 12 and just give all other teams the 6 points, not saying they should but wondering if it's an option, other teams who play Bolton after a takeover could argue they have been at a disadvantage to teams that have played them before.

What have Burnley got to do with it?

Yes, and he managed to get that team semi competitive by the end of the season if ultimately not good enough.
