Yeah be more like Baka, anonymous more often than not and never actually in position to miss gilt edged chances

Didn't Baka score one less and get more assists in less match time?

Ah wait are we talking about Bakayoko the lad who scores a goal every 233 minutes in a city shirt

Or the Connor Chaplin that scored a goal every 262 minutes in a city shirt... I'm confused

Either way the income is less than half compared to last year's sales so we are going backwards the funds won't be there to keep up pushing for promotion. It's going to be a long season I think

Did anybody really see Bayliss staying the whole season? Most wanted rid of Chaplin? It was clear Willis and Burge were going.

I dont understand why overnight on a rumour of Bayliss going and missing out on one target, people have gone into meltdown?

With the move to Birmingham it was clear SISU would sell and not reinvest the money to make up the shortfall.

Its what SISU do, just when things look hopeful, they shoot us in the foot. Because the club is a side issue in a greater plan/gamble they have.

Yes Wasps dont help us, CCC dont help us, but SISU are the biggest driver in our problems.

But I wouldnt write off our season before a ball is kicked, anymore than I would crow unrealistic expectations of promotion or play off places.

Its not like the transfer window is shut.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Bayliss started any of the pre season games
So possibly this is part of the MR overall plan

I’ve thought that may be the case. You’d expect that a formation like that Bayliss would definitely be a starter. It does tie in with the fact he’s been offered about.

That's two of the three relegation places sorted just hope we aren't the third and the longer we are in exile in Birmingham the more likely we are to be the next bury or Bolton

You're forgetting Bright and Sterling swap

Swap Bright with Wakefield on your attack list then which is stronger?

Has Wakefield even made an appearance in pre-season? Let alone a first team starter.

Bright boosted us undoubtedly, but he was only here for half a season last year. With or without him, we’re a top half team.

Had Bright been with us from Game 1 last season, we would’ve finished in the playoffs quite comfortably - that’s how good he is.

I can’t understand all the negativity that’s appeared in the last week or so.
Robins has told us weeks ago some players needed to go as he couldn’t play all of them.
He’s made money on Chaplin, which given what happened last season has surprised me.
Bayliss was always going to be a target and even if he doesn’t go now he will do shortly as most of us believe he has the ability to play at a higher standard.
It’s clear the strategy of the club is sign young players from premiership clubs who haven’t quite made it who may improve and give us an option to sell or develop into stronger players for us.
It doesn’t matter which team you are generally there is someone bigger that can buy your best players you only need to look at Maguire at Leicester which next season will be Maddison.
Get over it. That’s just how football works. We are no longer if we’ve ever been to do anything other than what is happening now.

Whatever happens, we need to go up this season. That should vastly improve our chances of returning to the Ricoh. If we don’t go up, we need a miracle return to the Ricoh otherwise attendances will decrease year after year in Birmingham, the club will have no money to spend so the squad will keep getting worse, we’ll get relegated to L2 and then drift away from relevance completely. This is probably the best chance we will have to get promoted unless Wasps cave in at some point and let us back.

Our current squad is probably better on paper

Negativity is infectious, maybe that's why Alot of you can't see the light through the bollocks
On paper means nothing some of them players we’ve never seen at this level I don’t feel we are as strong as we finished last season add bright and that changes things slightly.

I disagree, most players we've signed have a higher pedigree or played at a higher level... I've already stated bright is a miss

Yeah "some players need to go" you assume fringe players or deadwood, not the most saleable assets.

Bottom four go down in league one, but take your point.

But when we added Bright last season would you have said that guy is going to change our season? I doubt many of us had heard of him - I hadn't. YouTube just showed the usual few bits of him looking world class and a horrendous miss against Man City. Same with Luke Thomas. The year we had Armstrong, Murphy and Kent who'd have thought they'd have such an impact?

From pre-season Jobello looks a good provider with either foot and can cause problems. Kastaneer doubts over fitness and possibly workrate. But both have played at a pretty decent level and while it may not equate to doing well here there's more to suggest they might make a difference than when we got Bright in last season.

If you think about it, Allen was signed to replace Bayliss and will be first choice if and when fit (lets hope he is for Saturday) Bayliss going has already been looked after, with Westbroke in the background we have 2 players for that position, its Kellys back up im worried about and i would hope we would get something in before the end of our transfer window. i guess we see what happens over the next 24 hrs

Now I don't belive that for a second but if it was to be true in any way shape or form... That would be a superb signing for us

He only played 16 times for Preston last season. They might loan him to us for the season, which would be a great signing.

Josh Pask could end up being anything
He started as a centre forward at West Ham but was converted to a ball playing central defender in his teens
He was seen as the next one to break through there until injury and illness kept him out and Reece Oxford and Declan Rice came in
West Ham also have Diop, Balbuena and Winston Reid so let Pask go to give him a chance
