Transfer Rumour Bids for Chaplin

Have to assume 2-3 loans will be coming in as usual, with a fairly solid defense/CM on the face of it, you'd expect these loans will be attacking.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Adi dip back into the Chelsea loan pool, especially with Lampard/Morris back there.

Considering we don't need to sell I think we'll be driving a hard bargain. As a result, I'd be surprised if we let him go for 700K. Given the amount we invested, coupled with the length of his contract and the fact we'll obviously need to replace him I think MR is probably looking for a bid closer to £1M. Not forgetting Pompey will clearly have a sell-on fee, which needs to be taken into consideration as well. It might sound steep but in today's market that's the going rate - especially for a young striker.

Two for £14m

Justin for £6M and Stacey for £4M wasn't it?

Think Justin's fee had the potential to rise to £10M with instalments to be fair but that doesn't mean he was sold for £10M. Some of the clauses which activate the instalments may never happen.

Ah Ok was talking to my Luton town friends

I suspect some of the add-ons will be things like England apps or top 6 finish with a certain amount of apps for instance. Hence why the add ons are so significant. I imagine the deal would've been structured in a similar fashion to Maddison's.

Still shows what one can do. I see they’ve made 4 really good free transfers too. Think they’ll absolutely compete in championship

I personally think the jury is out there on their transfer business so far.

Galloway has always been a good RB, but his inexperience has to be a concern - especially as he's likely to be a direct replacement for Stacey.

McMannaman is a terrible signing in my opinion. He hasn't hit any kind of form since the season Wigan won the F.A. Cup, which was around 7 years ago now I think. Shocking injury record and for a forward has barely scored throughout his career.

Tunnicliffe is okay but has had a few injury troubles and hasn't featured in a full season for a while. You also have to wonder why Millwall, who finished 21st in the Championship last season, want shot of him.

Crainie is a good player at Championship level. Think he'll be a good addition.

I think we will get another permanent signing or two. Maybe if we could push Barnsley up a bit we could try and fund Marquis coming in, as Robins is a fan but also having seen how good our delivery was on saturday having someone who is a genuine threat in the air could create another dimension to our attack.

Don't think we will get Marquis, he has been linked with a move to Hull who are now managed by his ex Doncaster boss Grant McCann.

Unless it's someone he really rates and has no change of getting permanently I don't think MR will dip into the loan market unless injury etc make it unavoidable.

Have to wonder what the fee is. If we've accepted the bid I'm inclined to guess it's along the lines of what Forest want for Walker?

Lets get a proper striker that knows how to finish and doesn't drop back to the half way line to receive the ball

Glad we've made a profit!

I hope we just go ahead and seal Bright with this. Get Walker in on the agreed loan and if he's decent enough throw an option to buy in there. Sorted.
Maybe this is what we needed to offer more than brum and get bright from them

Interesting, looks like Chaplin is off Question: obviously we need a replacement possibly Walker but do we need another striker aswell.

Just can't see robins sanctioning this without a replacement ready

I think this bloke might have been right last night … :)

I remember Des Walker playing for Forest years ago, under Brian Clough. If his son is even half the player his dad was, we're in for a treat if we can sign him!
