Barnsley had a bid rejected and now they have bought another striker (from Leeds)

Wilks is mainly a winger, he played for Doncaster last season.

Assume that would mean we have someone lined up to come in.

Not all that surprising. I think realistically the writing was on the wall once the bid came in.

Unfortunately that writing is on the wall at the Ricoh and that building is owned by Wasps.

I assumed that was what Robins meant by wanting to sort his 'Ins' before the 'Outs'. Wants his replacement in first before he lets him leave.

That’s fair enough because we’re not in a position where we need to sell Chaplin.

If the right offer came in, I’d let him go because right now he’s probably not gonna be a starter right away.

I’d take an interest when bids of £1m started coming in.

Shame if he goes as I'd like to have seen him with an injury free season in potentially a different formation.

I reckon he'll become a decent player with the right coaching.

Good luck to him if he goes.

I think he will score goals for us especially with the new players we have.

Any profit on a player like Chaplin who we paid for last season and performed like he did has to be seen as a positive. With the wingers we have now, even swapping Chaplin for James Collins would strengthen us. Not convinced either will make it in the championship, but we can worry about that if / when we get there

Oh man we really are going to make them wait for a replacement for a player on our bench aren’t we?

    Poor Connor

Bright, Eaves and Walker then I'll think about allowing him to leave.

Hadn't realised Malik Wilks was only on loan at Doncaster. Good buy for Barnsley. Doncaster will be weaker as a result. Good for us! Now somebody buy Madidson from Posh to weaken them too.

One of my Pompey supporting ST holder mates reckons they have a sell on clause as well.

Just hope the clause is on the profit we have made rather than the whole transfer amount.

Think that's normally the case, but doubt they'd do it if it wasn't best for CCFC.

I quite like Chaplin as a player, his movement can be very good and I think with the right coaching he could be a really good player.

That said should the bid be deemed acceptable then I would consider selling Chaplin, I think the Club should be doing all they can to get Bright in and if Walker comes off as well (not much to say that either will happen) then I would be extremely happy.
