Sounds like Stevenson had a shocking attitude. If That's the case, I'd say It's better we cashed in.

Don't usually get involved with the facebook mouthbreathers, but they're all banging on about how Sisu are coining it in from the sale of Stevenson and how can this be a promotion push if we're selling our best players.
Fucking nutjobs most of them.

Made pretty depressing reading, did that lot. You'd think he was playing week in week out and that he was by far the best we had at the club. Obviously not what the manager thinks.

Mummy and daddy have just embarrassed the curtain call on Stevenson's CCFC career in the last 24 hours.

Parents of a certain age and technology don't mix.

This one stood out

"Another academy kid cashed in on at the first opportunity ! nice one sisu we should be building not selling ! NOPM SISU OUT !"

1. We've turned down several offers for him
2. We've strengthened this window and kept hold of a much better prospect in Bayliss
3. NOPM is one of the reasons we have to sell.

Not setting the best impression is it? His comments as well saying he wanted to go as soon as he heard interest add to that.

Robins didn't seem too impressed, glad he has gone if he wants to be like that. He isn't going to get a sniff while wolves are in the Premier League.

Obviously seen his mates get moves and want a bit of that.

Certainly a lot of morons crawled out the wood work. It's cringe worthy.

Boosts his earnings but football career, time will tell.

Didn't do enough to command a spot this season tho. Application wasn't there, hence Bayliss was given his opportunity.

Yeah will do his bank balance wonders for now, he wants to keep up with Thomas and harries etc getting some more money.

Gone the wrong way about it though. He couldn't get in our team, that's genuinely on performances he was behind.

Let’s all agree, if as were forced to sell one player of note this window, it would have probably been Stevenson. He’s not even been in the match day squad at times this season.

I hate sisu and I hate their transfer business throughout their tenure, (selling Wilson for next to nothing and Maddison in the last hours of the window etc) but this January was a really good window for us, when considering on SBT at the end of December, we were apparently encouraging bids for Willis, McDonald was 99.9% off to Birmingham (because a brummie in a Stone Thailand jumper brought it up after a shift in B&M Tamworth), someone from League 1 was going to come in for McNulty and Bayliss was ‘being touted about’.

Considering Dele Alli commanded a fee of 5m, and we sold Wilson for 3m, I don't think that's 'next to nothing'. And this was off the back off one blistering season, before that season he'd shown little evidence he'd be any good, in fact, Pressley had said in a preseason game he 'wanted to rip up his contract there and then'. £3m was a fair price for him.

The timing of the Maddison deal pissed me right off, but I think in hindsight it may be a good deal, and at least we got him back on loan. I think his performances dipping after that transfer was in line with the general performances of the team as opposed to the individual transfer itself.

Just arrived at work to the news that we didn't sell Bayliss

I disagree with you. Burge has been very good this season. Doubt very much you'd find a keeper who doesn't make the odd mistake at this level. Even Murphy made 3 or 4 a season which are forgotten for convenience.
That mistake at Exeter was very odd indeed.

We would be level on GD in second place without that one mistake.

Agreed. Not sure how the worst goalkeeper in the league can be part of the best defence in the league

I think some just have out for him regardless
Check how many shots on target we have against us. That is the reason why our defence is so good.

Didn't have the balls to ring robin's got his daddy to ring up and pretend he's sick sums the bloke really. Better off without that type of a prat at the club thinks he's better than he is he will never be a premier league player doesn't have the right spirit in him

To be fair to his Mum, the atmosphere at the club the last few years can't exactly be one you feel good about with the Sisu issues and all the bad feeling, protests, boycotts, etc. that go with that. They are from Leicester so won't have the same hometown club allegiance that Maddison and his family will likely have. I'm not sure any parent, who is not a fan, would want their kid to be in a situation like that.

He has talent but something has clearly been up with him this year. Hope it works out for him. He's gone to a club that have been in our position and come back from it. I just hope we can push on and get back to the same level as Wolves.

Have a day of G FFS. The boy has started to come good on the goals front and McNulty is obviously benefiting from playing up top with him.

Like some personal vendetta isn't it. He's clearly been playing well recently even before he scored a couple. His confidence looks high. Even if he scores 2 a game for the rest of the season I doubt Grendel will admit he's wrong though.

Ben Stevenson has not really contributed to us like Maddison did. We won't even realise he has gone.

Stevenson isn't in the same class as Maddison and the fact that he has been loaned out to a L2 club and not even a L1 club is funny. Personally I don't think he will make it into the big time. Club doesn't need players with a poor attitude or ones who think they are entitled.

Just had to have a look at the FB comments. Some are truly amazing. I’ve had to leave a couple of responses as they annoyed me that much!

Also, Jodi Jones is with an ‘I’ chaps...not ie or y!
