Mad that Robins has already dropped our new first choice goalkeeper for last years golden glove Ben Wilson. Incredibly strange decision. Some on here will be disappointed…

then he needs help and not a bunch of crayon nibblers egging him on
Who's egged him on? I remember another meeting with him now, years ago, where he tried to ask me something but just couldn't really communicate. He clearly needs help.

So Kelly Palmer and Simms taken off at half time, wonder if that speaks to fitness levels a bit.

Come, friendly bombs, and fall on Slough!
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, Death!
Lol, after his death, John Betjamin's widow wrote a poem contradicting her late husbands poem of Slough, presumably to placate the locals who were somewhat irate at the original version from the poet laureate.

I visited Slough myself many years ago and was motivated to write my own poem which I've included below, I hope you like it.

Slough Slough Slough,
What a fucking shit hole,
Slough Slough Slough
Where every cunts on the dole.

Hope you liked it.

No it's common in pre season friendlies just some minutes in legs. We have a good lead (not that result means a thing), so get some youngster out there.

Nobody is fully fit first friendly of the season.

The poem isn't really about Slough, it's about the interwar year city planning and Slough was just an example of it.

Your poem seems very autobiographical ;)

Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough, it isn’t fit for humans now’ – right, I don’t think you solve town planning problems by dropping bombs all over the place, he’s embarrassed himself there.

You can hardly say that if you come from Cov.

"I've been to a conference in leamington and its a lovely spa town, especially compared to Coventry down the road, which proves my point that you don't sort out a town by extensive bombing"

Possibly but the game was won, no need to risk an injury. FGR looked a mess but hard to judge too harshly as they had a load of trialists. 2nd half was kids V kids.

(Edit note: just realised FGR also have a game tomorrow night Vs Everton u21 so probably split the squad a bit to cover both matches)

Simms looked sharp infront of goal, he'll score a load of we give him service. Tatsu was a real threat, really nimble, defenders will hate him. He also put himself about well for a small lad, slid in and won the ball a few times. Very promising 🇯🇵
