Last 2 games have been a bit flat to be fair. Chicken and egg…….

I have a ST in block 18. Before the WC the atmosphere was good most joining in the songs chants etc since the restart it’s been dead.
Yesterday 3 times I stood up to join the singing and had loads looking at me like I’d just shat on the table in the middle of their Xmas dinner

That did make me laugh. But sadly spot on.
What’s happened to the drummer boy? He’s been brilliant for the atmosphere.

I don’t know why the atmosphere has dropped off so badly.

On a personal level I agree with this. I've missed about 4 games despite having a season ticket. Just find it a bit of a drag going up there at the moment. A change of owner would help no end. Hopefully.

Same. Daughter has been loving it since L1 promition, last 2 games shes spent watching youtube on my phone and genuinely nearly napped on me v Cardiff

Saw a few people earlier moaning saying that it could be worse like when were in League 2. Those days were dreadful but the last month or so has been boring imo. We aren't an exciting team to watch. Little flare and lacking passion compared to last season.

The atmosphere picked up slightly last 10-20 against Bristol City as we had momentum, but it feels a bit like a vicious cycle at the moment at home games.
Fans struggle to motivate team -> team struggles to motivate fans -> repeat

Saying that, the atmosphere was absolutely dead at 3-0 up against Swansea

Think that's because it was coming. Even at 3 up my mate sat next to me said 'This isnt over' There was an air of inevitability around it

Yeah, felt that way against Bristol as well. At 1-0 up, it felt so nervy around the ground as if everyone was just waiting for the equaliser

We seem to be falling into a trap of thinking the atmospheres 'alright' if we get one loud rendition of PUSB and I just cant get enough

For 70 minutes there was fuck all. Maybe just expect too much after last season, but just find it all a bit meh, probably reflecting the averageness from the pitch

Expectations high from last season. Today was louder than 75% of stadiums I've been and I've done over 80 in this country.

However, they need to do something next season to improve it.

People respond to the product on the pitch and at present and, just my opinion, people are not confident in the team meaning the atmosphere doesn't start off well from kick off. Also time of year doesn't help, everyone is always a bit meh this time of year.

If the fans were side by side with a bit of a gap between them instead as how it is now there would be no aggressive shouting gestures or finger jabbing etc. Across the premier grounds are full away fans generally separated by a few rows of seats and stewards & police, cctv rules also. Behaviour which isn’t that bad would improve once idiots start getting removed and banned.

Still amused at the city fan getting kicked out for lobbing a bag of crisps at the Luton fans 😂😂

Thought it was a sandwich 😂…either way it was nearer the coppers than the Luton fans !

I actually thought second half atmosphere was a lot better than recently…but as indicated above, that was because the intensity of the players picked up and the fans responded. We really need to start games better and on the front foot and I’ve no doubt atmosphere will pick up. Last time I can recall was Baggies at home.

Ps also need to kick the DK song on the head and start singing for the team and the players again.

The security measures this season in singers’ corner have really affected the atmosphere

Whatever opinion we all have about the atmosphere I have to say it's encouraging to get 20,000 against Luton . It's never a great fixture in terms of attracting the casual supporter and that level of support shows perhaps a level of optimism amongst our supporters that flies in the face of a downturn in our form since the world cup.

We get all this crap that we need the separation from singers corner to the away fans because of previous trouble (1 guy at the Derby game) but then the stewards and the police allow the Luton fans to invade the no-go area, smacks there's a lot of people not doing their job properly
And never moved them back ,if block 14 did that the fans would soon have been moved back. All it needed was(can i see your ticket please).

Apparently they oversold tickets and Luton fans have seats in the empty block. It was overcrowded.

Luton fans were very angry at the stewarding on their forum.
