Thompson from the U23's is travelling up with the squad. Could be on the bench.

In the home game they won lots of free kicks all over the pitch which were launched to the edge of our penalty area where they had 5 or 6 players challenging for it. A unique style! We need to try not to give needless freekicks away.

It was a unique style, but it certainly wasn't football as we know it, Jim.

It's going to be freezing there tomorrow, looking forward to it though.

I think we may squeak a 2-1 away win for some reason - teamwise think MR will go with the following.

Burge GK
Haynes LB
Grimmer RB
MacDonald CB
Hyam CB
Kelly CM
Doyle CM
Bayliss RM
Shipley LM
JCH ST
McNulty ST

Subs: O'Brien, Stokes, DKE, Reid, Vincenti, Ponticelli, Biamou

Burge

Grimmer
McDonald
Hyam
Haynes

Bayliss
Kelly
Doyle
Reid

Clarke-Harris
McNulty

Would rather Bayliss/Doyle in the middle with Vincent or Maguire-Drew wide right but Robins isn’t going to do that

2-1 win

Think he will batter them and find the net. Playing upfront as our sole striker.

Yep, they will aim for akinfenwa who will literally pick our players up and move them but go down with a gust of wind.

If he doesn't win it they will be around for second ball or a tap in.

Yes yesterday the forecast wasn’t for snow there but that has changed now. It’s very hit and miss for where gets the worst of it.
Both tonight and Saturday could yet be called off.

Yeah, that's very true, we shall see. Parts of the journey up from here have got warnings for the next 24 hours so probably not worth it.

No it’s one thing not being able to get there...another not being able to get back. If in doubt stay safe, stay warm.

If I was LSR I would be very much tempted to go with Stokes ahead of Hyam. Hyam does seem to struggle a little with the physical side of the game.

Personally I would go with

GK Burge
LB Haynes
CB Hyam
CB McDonald
RB Grimmer
CM Doyle
CM Shipley
Just in front Bayliss
ST JCH
ST Biamou
ST McNulty playing off the other 2.

Wycombe are an attacking side, need to match them and pin them in their own half. I have seen them plenty of times under Ainsworth (Being my hometown). They are a team set up too attack. When they are matched with that they struggle, by swamping Bean and O'Nien in the middle it means one of the front 3 (Usually Akinfenwa) has to drop in the win the battle in the middle. If he's there, he cant be winning headers and second balls in our box.

LSR hahaha. Hope that one sticks!

I'd be surprised if the game does go ahead but then stranger things have happened...

We need to now start putting these teams to the sword.
A win is the only acceptable result or the season is over.
No more excuses.

Of course it's not over if we don't win - by that logic you are saying we have to win every one of our remaining games or else the season is over, which is laughable.
Of course, a win would be a big help - a bit more n context?

Time is running out.
We need a change in form to get out this league and it needs to happen now.
The Coventry City way of hoping until the end never works.
A loss tonight will see us too far behind to recover.
All but the hardest CCFC fans will know that.

Thank you for saving me a minute or two of typing in order to point out the obvious, you were rather more succinct than I might have been.

If we lose tonight we stay 5 points behind the playoffs with 1 game in hand over Swindon. I still think these are the games we need to win to go into Saturday against Lincoln with high spirits.

"Italiahorse" might be just a little dramatic but if we don't win we will be 6 points behind the playoffs 2 extra wins we would require with 12 games remaining . The problem if we do win is some will be coming on here saying 4 points from the next 2 games will do well, even if we did win tonight I think the 6 points would be required wins against these teams are what is needed in our situation its no good matching these you have to better their results and by beating them that happens. To me these 3 games will decide if we are in the playoffs or not.
