We've made an unbelievable start, stuff of dreams.
To quote the old cliche, 'don't be sad it's over, be glad it happened!'

Chance to get back on track Tuesday with 2 or 3 players back.
Yep, if Eccles or Torp is ready ti start it's very different on Tuesday

I agree but let's not try to be better an improve.

Really woukd love to hear Lampards reasoning on playing that formation team.

Imo he left his defence out to dry.

Allen was one of our better players last night along with Sakamoto, the main issue was Bidwell and wolf and that’s difficult to say because Bidwell has been a great servant for us

I agree, last night was poor, though injuries and suspensions didn't help.
Though we don't really need to improve as such, just go back to something akin to what we've been doing all season up until last night.

Because the only other fit to starter midfielder was an 18 year old kid.

If he starts Torp and Eccles who are not ready to start and they play for too long and break down again then what?

Do you really think that team last night was down to choice?

The one absence that was totally needless as well

Still think it was intentional. This on paper was the easiest of the games up to 19 matches when cards reset. Would he have made 7 games with no yellow after 4 in 11?

Of course they can. I am just shocked no one seemed to take a slow start into account for new starters

It's not a video game where you just go by stats

P.s I don't actually think KKH was bad last night. Woolfy on other hand..
To be fair to Woolfe the 2nd goal when you watch it back he isn't helped by KKH being out of position behind him as the RB should of also been at the back post as well. Also the less said about bidders defending for that goal.

We were always going to lose sooner or later! Rather not been to the Disney FC but better than losing to the Blunts and cabbage face.

£7.5m invested in a RB and CB as cover and seemingly not good enough. Match fitness or just not up to it? Which is it? One was Preston player of the year and the other has Premiership experience. Go figure

Kesler Hayden was fine. But any defence will struggle when you empty midfield - and we did. To be fair they should have had 2 before half time. We continue to be very open and if we don’t get the breaks we’ll lose. Eccles and Torp badly needed back in midfield. The loss was coming and it may not be a bad thing to get it out of our system and have a bit of a kick up the backside.

I thought he was fine too. Just the sheer amount of changes in defence was a big issue. As was the non existent midfield.
We'll put it right against the Blunts.

I don’t think starting with a back 4 that consisted of three players who have started <10 games between them this season was ever going to end well. KKH and Woolfenden are more than capable players at this level, but they need to get up to speed.

Was a terrible game to play in if you’re rusty. Everyone learning the system and each other, no protection in front of you, away to a team with their backs up. KKH and Woolfenden will be alright. The main problem was playing Jamie Allen and a striker in front of them.

I'd like to see Brau over Bidwell if it calls for it again. Can he really be much worse?

I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with the lack of vitriolic posts on this game, indeed most are logical and reasoned.

We were outmanned and outgunned in midfield last night, 3 v 2 never going to end well, we have to get 3 back in there asap.
I wish our centre forwards showed the balls and bite that Moore did too, if they did maybe we'd have won that.

Any word on Thomas? And when’s Rudoni back? Starting line-up today was shocking and we can’t afford to play it again.

Thomas has a minor calf injury, now where have I heard that before. 🤔
