For me it showed Doug needs to get the chequebook out if he wants autos this year. It won’t just come with this squad playing at this intensity.
Yes and no for me
Tonights defensive performance came as a result of our early season form and the lack of opportunities for KKH and Woolfenden, even Bidwell too .
Even though we were poor tonight I don't think we need much more at the back
We are still a wide player/ number 10 short for me though , even though we've scored bucket loads of goals

Our bench was very strong tonight. I know people aren't fully fit but unless Doug went for a marquee signing, I'm not sure where you'd add?

We deserved what we got tonight.

Was worried when I saw BTA again at No.10.

I think we planned to blast them away in the first 30, then consolidate as the game went on.

Desperately needed Torp,Simms and Eccles on earlier. All 3 should have started for me.

The gaps in the middle were causing us problems from the start. Allen did a job tonight but he doesn’t win 50-50s, he hassles. We needed a ball winner in there Eccles or Torp.

We defended our box well in the 1st half , but Wrexham were creating a lot., and it just intensified in the 2nd half.

Bobby Thomas wouldn’t have lost that header for their 2nd, but Woolf was OK for me.

Wrexham’s 1st was offside.

Sakamoto and Grimes excellent.

Haji - 2 quiet, worryingly quiet games in a row now. His work rate has improved, but still not sure he’s a CF in a 3, certainly not in games like tonight.

I wonder if Frank had planned on a 5-3-2 tonight but Bobby’s injury meant he stuck to a 4 at the back.

I got so many replies because I said KKH replacing MVE could be a x factor but that's exactly what happened

I actually thought KKH was decent but mve is vital and we want him playing most games

Thomas is also better than woolf although the lad deserves more time to settle in before over analysing his game I think

And Allen whilst also imo ok is just a limited player and we need torp and rudoni back asap. Same for bidwell and JDS

When you look at all these factors a one goal loss to a decent championship team away really isn't a reason to get too down

Obviously it's a fans nature to worry we will lose next 2 but with our strongest team back you would expect us to pick up a win before international break hopefully

Spot on, think we’d have gone more or less the Portsmouth 11, lost it in midfield

Our bench was not strong. Torp was the only real first team player on there. Simms maybe. Two were kids, one was Brau who is seemingly way off the level, one was Eccles who is lovely but unlikely to impact a game. Lats was just back from injury and unlikely to do better against Moore.

Those one the pitch in Bidwell KKH and Allen weren’t up to scratch and we were playing two in midfield because we didn’t have any AMs.

We’re 13 games in and the squad is creaking. We absolutely need reinforcements in Jan. we play a high intensity game. It’s only getting tougher from here.

We’re desperately short in central midfield and that’s what’s ultimately been our downfall tonight.

No complaints from me on the result , the better team won tonight

frank frustrated me tonight with the inability to change things up earlier for us as it clearly wasnt working and the changes came too late , he has to do better than that tactically tonight

Some very poor performances , wolf was terrible as was bidwell , didnt think KKH played well either , dithered and hesitated all night .

Haji frustrating but struggles more without the creativity of rudoni in midfield , and with a constant long ball it just isnt his game

Sakamoto very good

Real off night but you could sort of sense it, we need to get our starters back and look to put tonight behind us. Bad night, but FL will of learnt a lot about the squad. Too many players out or not at it, outcome was expected.

We need a reaction Tuesday just hope Milan, Torp, Thomas to be fit and Wright has one of his games.....

Regardless of injuries and suspensions, we only have 1 number 10 and 2 wingers. The ups can do a job, but aren't the same level of quality. We literally had 1 attacking sub on the bench tonight. 4 defenders and 3 CMs and a keeper. Lampard also has to start trusting Andrews, we'd have been better with him in a 3 in midfield than playing with only 2 in there. Sheaf and James ran the show.

We lack numbers out wide and in centre mid

To point out KKH and Woolf as examples of not having a strong squad is fucking stupidity though

Had been dreading this game ever since it got moved to Friday night tbh. Eeriely similar to that game we played against Reading when we first came up. Their first loss of the season, was on a Friday night and it was 3-2.

It’s strong defensively, but there’s not attacking options to change a game when trailing a game. Eccles, Torp, Simms and JDS are all good players but Eccles and JDS aren’t players who are going to go out and win a game through great attacking play.

For a more complete squad, you need to be able to take off the front 4 attacking players and a CM in an ideal world. If Sakamoto or EMC have a bad game, there isn’t really anything we can do about that.

This result may well be expunged from the records - The overtime rate that Kieffer Moore has submitted whilst waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting) for that cross to arrive for his second goal - Whilst studying his watch and taking into account the natural time erosion of the soles of his boots as he was stood there - waiting and waiting etc may well end up bankrupting AFC Wrexham even taking into account Hollywood inc.
Just saying like.
