Why so many empty seats ?

I wasn’t there today, Ill health not allowed to drive.

Stupid thread

Boxing Day, family plans, travel issues, hangovers etc etc always gonna be a fair few people who have a ticket (ST or otherwise) that don’t actually turn up.
If that's the case then why is it the ends of the west stand have lots of empty seats in particular?

I'd also say that empty sky blue seats stick out like a sore thumb
At any given point the amount of people in the concourse will be in the hundreds - toilets, beer, etc.

Yes. The mass walk out on the 30-35 minute mark that I’ve never understood.
An excess of coke ( the legal stuff) sent me to the loo during a stoppage in play, and I was 3 rows away from my seat when Eccles got the second ( just saw it on time)!

It's crazy that the resell system isn't in place ready for a game like today. Loads were asking for tickets this morning. They could have resold those empty seats.

because you were a dickhead to someone who mentioned they'd had a sh*t few days with family in hospital.
He clearly thought he'd give everyone the impression that I had it in for people who couldn't go to the match because they were in hospital. He knows that's not true and it's just point scoring .
I'd offer sympathy under normal circumstances but bollocks.

ST. Holders don’t know how to use the ticket exchange. We have two guys in block 15 that have missed more games than they’ve seen this year.

Well I guess that's up to them , although does seem a waste when they've paid up front.

My dad and grandad both went into hospital Christmas Eve and Christmas Day respectively. Sorry about that
Really sorry to hear that. Hope they recover soon. On that note the amount of respiratory type illness around right now would account for many absentees yesterday. My wife and I were battling on and so many people were blowing noses and coughing .

Yep wasn’t there myself yesterday, away at the in laws for Christmas.

So…I don’t sit in the family zone but I certainly have it.

It’s accessed through the ticket purchase screens.

Go to the home tickets tab/ manage tickets/

Should have the millwall game at the top.

Bottom left hand side of the screen is the Ticket exchange tab.

Give it a go and see what happens

The club said it was an IT error on the system when they bought it in and only applies to the family zone not everyone else

Lot of people away at Christmas or get dragged along to god awful family get togethers.

We’re not alone with this, as has already been said Derby v West Brom was also a sell out with empty seats.
It’s more noticeable now as such a high percentage of the crowd are season ticket holders.

The number read out looked about right to me. 2.5k empty seats plus segregation in the away end, with about 300 empty seats on the balcony. Every other seat was sold even if the people couldn’t be bothered to turn up

The only empty seats were the balcony seats. If you're referring to empty seats in the last 10 minutes where it seemed a lot of the North Stand wanted to get out early, then yes. Other than that, it was full.

Loads of people are ill. Horrible foggy weather for those who are frail etc. Disabled bay was half empty.
Loads of people are away.

Wrong. Go on you tube and look. Plenty of empty seats both ends of posh stand throughout the match . Some in the north stand as well.

But that doesn't account for so many empty seats both ends of posh stand . Why would that be the case . Illness , family commitments doesn't lend itself to the corners of a stand. My guess is the tickets were free and people just couldn't be bothered.

That shows absolutely nothing . Watch the highlights.

There where a lot of empty seats a few minutes before KO but not once the game started apart from upper tier of main stand but a lot stay inside in the corporate areas

There were two free seats next to my wife, taken by season ticket holders and I have only known those seats occupied twice in three seasons.
