Looks like we are likey to have empty seats in the FZ each game due to the restrictions of buying in there:

Unless they offer families a cheaper match day price in there, they will not be sold over somewhere else in the ground. There will also be occassions where adults will not be able to get a ticket despite there being plenty of empty seats in the FZ.

Tackling the problem of FZ 'fraud' (as it were) was Doug's 'baby' (again, as it were.)
I think he'll enjoy the 'symbolism' of a hundred or so unsold match day seats in that area as a tribute to his no nonsense approach in addressing the issue.

There will be no empty seats, they are not even on general sale yet and the game is virtually sold out.

Disclaimer: can't say categorically that more seats will be released but regardless of that it will sell-out comfortably.

Trouble is, depending on where those seats are, you are not going to get a parent buy a ticket for a single seat, to have their daughte/son sat 2 rows away. I suspect their will be a number of single seats that are impractical to sell (will the club allow separated ticket sales for adult/child in the area?)

There was no issue to address, FZ match pricing was equalised with rest of standard zone a season or two ago. The only only issue in FZ is turn out can be lower for certain games, especially midweek but ticket exchange should address that. There is nothing different to last season where it sold out regularly.

Given there are 100 left to sell prior to going on general sale, how many single seats will be left unsold? 10?

For that to be the case, either we've got 135 people who qualify for FZ tickets (whatever the restrictions are nowadays) waiting for general sale or adults will be in there on kids tickets.

The difference this season is that the FZ season tickets didnt sell out. Previous seasons, they did.

General admission will. Corporate probably not. They have also done some weird things like made block 5 corporate - so right next to away fans, no padded seat, no lounge access and for that you'll pay £180 (but you might get a go on a video game - if available - and a beer before the game). Expect that block will be largely empty, but other than that just some empty boxes and corporate seats.

There were quite a few FZ tickets available last season on a game by game basis.

Not on gen sale until tomorrow. If you are a family who has to 'pick and choose' games, then shelling out 2 or 3 lots of £45 (Home membership) upfront isn't an option. These will go to families and it will be an official sell-out before 11am tomorrow.

Not really Doug's style but, if there were consistently 50 or so seats empty on a regular basis in FZ. Would it be the worst thing for Sky Blues in the community to give them to disadvantaged kids on the Thursday/Friday before a Sat/Sun game if they haven't sold?

They were under priced - Quite a few adults were taking advantage of that but with no show of the included child.

Not last season so much, they equalised ST prices for adults, so it went from £250 previous season to £440 last season. Kids ST prices still lower, but they had to be accompanied by an adult, so it largely resolved issues and is why last season FZ season tickets did not fully sell as people moved. The OP was suggesting the FZ tickets might not sell, but last season they sold out the remaining seats for many games and there was no concession for kids at all (it was same as rest of ground), so will be no issue this season because nothing has changed.

I think the issue is that these seats will be singles, so can't be sold. Adult needs to buy a kids ticket, kid can't go without an adult, but they're not going to want to be split up.

Same issue with SBITC giving them away - the kids would be sitting on their own and that's not allowed.

Only solution is going to be making it so that you can't leave a single seat by itself and that might mean asking people to move.

Are there single seats left because some individual match tickets have been sold and there's a seat left or is it season tickets that have been sold and left single seats?

If its season tickets then they really need to get people moved or we will have the problem every game. Not really an area where you can claim you've been in the same seat forever.

There is only one block available on the balcony, block A, the rest are all season tickets holders, as for the Watchmakers that will probably go to Corporate bookings, probably be some empty seats in that block.

Theres a week and a half to sell under 200 tickets ?

The point was about the restrictions on those tickets. Having to be with a child etc and the ratios in the FZ.

People will probably buy them anyway I guess
