We only scored 42 goals, we realised clubs just like to pass pass pass. Learn to keep it tight and counter the possession teams (most of the league) and you will be fine. Its astonishing how many clubs in the Prem have no plan B. Burnley prime example, trying to play tippy tappy football against Man City etc. Get some proper physical guys in like we did with Mukiele, Brobbey, Reinildo, Alderete, and get into them.

Think what people forget is how much the PL has changed (largely down to Pep). The pacy, attacking football has gone. Only Haaland and Thiago broke the 20 goal mark (and Thiago had 8 penalties in his 22 goals). Organisation is key to PL "success" and it starts from the back.

He has done a lot in making the game far more boring to watch, with excitement largely coming from set pieces and hoping teams get punished for fucking around at the back. Klopp was the antidote but his replacement killed it off at Liverpool in barely a season.

If you replace saka you still need a wide player that covers back. Somehing saka does well is cover MVE when he's caught out of position / upfield. This is also something EMC doesn't do as well on the left thus exposing JDS too often.

I think he will play alot. I know some have questions marks over wether pace will be too much for him but I think he will be ok

We need to keep the heart of the club in terms of player together for the dressing room spirit which will help us tremendously. I am not nieve to the fact some will move on because they get a good offer for them but the remaining ones will find out if they have got what it takes to keep out the new talent. It may be some of the current squad make up the bench as well and I am sure if we had a bench of Simms, Torpe, kitchen, Eccles, JDS, TATS etc we would not struggle to last the season in reasonable shape.
I think EMC and Ruddoni will be looked at by the top teams with envy as well. Will see how FL does in the market but I think he will pull off a few surprises for us i am sure.

I think Palace are the most likely, with Glasner leaving, player unrest and a potential Europa campaign, they have a serious possibility of being a shit show next season.

Then I'm thinking maybe Sunderland if they suffer second season syndrome and get found out, similar to when Sheffield United had that first good season and almost got Europe, then were shite the next season. Plus juggling a European campaign as well will be a challenge.

After that it could be anyone who has a manager change or sells and recruits terribly, hard to predict at the moment. But the likes of Bournemouth, Fulham etc. won't stay up there forever, their cycles will end at some point.

So that leaves 10 more teams. We need one to have a shite season like west ham and hope we can take advantage. But it's still tough to see who

Newcastle - Saudi backed
Forest - always spend, made a euro semi. Think they will be ok
Brighton - European commitments but they can rotate in conference league and still advance
Everton- just can't see.moyes Everton team ever not being solid at very least.

Can't see it being any of these 4 teams either.

So that leaves 7 clubs

Bournemouth - new manager AND euro commitments
Brentford- can't really bet against bloom but still pinching every season I guess
Leeds - closest prem side left to a championship side I guess?
Palace - new manager and possibly euro commitments
Fulham - new manager likely
Sunderland - euro commitments

I think if a team other than cov is gonna get relegated it's gonna be one of these 7 teams but no guarantees

Can only speculate so much till we know how recruitment goes but still interested to know which teams you guys think we can realistically finish above?

I think this really shows how difficult the task is,
- Bournemouth (6th), Brentford (9th), Fulham (11th) are really well run clubs and good recruitment,I think they will be safe, but I agree Forest, Palace, Leeds and Sunderland are probably the most vulnerable.

We really need some smart recruitment, and hope that we get a little luck along the way.

I fancy us to finish above Everton tbh. Every time I watch them they just seem so average and Moyes sets them up very negatively. That said, they generally tend to pull out the results they need in the end. Their luck has to run out eventually (I hope).
