Might be worth putting their fans in the away end the next time there's a local derby.

By the looks of that they’re not doing too bad attendance wise? If the figures announced are correct of course

7k a match including freebies, not great in my opinion!

In comparison to the rest of the league. Have the likes of Sale and Saracens not played as many games at home?

I would guess most have played the same. Just shows how weak rugby is in drawing crowds.

Looking at historic figures Leicester have always been high on attendance

Surely that crowd is smaller than the 5500 we had against Northampton in the Carabao?

Before yesterday I think Saracans only played 2 and they have a capacity of only 10,000

Leicester and Bristol get big crowds because of the size of their Cities, Newcastle is a football City, with the exception of Bath who get great support the other teams are smaller Towns/Cities like Worcester, Gloucester and Exeter, then you've got an abundance of London Based teams, let's face it Rugby Union doesn't have the interest like football does in this country!

My nephew played for Stockport he was part time there and must have been one of the higher earners at a little over 26k per year, they were a league below the conference.

That is piss poor. What figure did they announce?

Also good to see them on Sunday and us on Saturday. Means we've got the primacy.

From the Wasps forum, in response to 'what was the crowd. Gents?'

Low

Agreed. It felt like 8-9,000.

Some of the photos I've seen it doesn't even look that.

From the photos on here it looks 5k tops

In the same weekend that CCFC come from behind to win they lose from a winning position

It's a bit like how the overall story of the two clubs is playing out currently

If the attendances they are getting are good why on earth did they move to a 32K stadium? It can't be great for the players, and therefore for recruitment, to be playing in a less than quarter full stadium.

Clearly to get a stadium on a long lease which makes significant revenue elsewhere - Richardson has more interest in that

Surprised they are no quoting 15k plus. Im sure its all soemone else fault. Bonfire weekend,Sunday. Not exact temperate for their fans to come out. No enough craft ale at the stadium. Some sort of excuse.

Work with 2 Wasps fans down here in Kent. They went in a carload recently and got free tickets as their partner works for NHS!

They've given yesterday's attendance as 8,177 (doesn't even look anywhere near that tbh)

Think wasps are about 7th or 8th in the average attendances

That's shocking in terms of the stadium/facilities they are playing in, yet totally understandable in that there is no generational fanbase in the area. There is no way that there was a plus 8k crowd there based on those photos (unless several thousand had stayed in the bars)

We actually have a really exciting young team atm. Results aren’t there but performances are. Tom Willis is a real talent

Ha. You've got a young team, not out of choice, but because the bond's been spunked on 'marquee' players who didn't want to stick around. So much for richest team in Europe, eh.

Also, I'm not sure that the performances can be there if the results aren't, but then I've seen elsewhere that you work to your own logic.

Are you actually a city fan, just out of interest, or are you just here on a wind up?

You clearly don’t know much about rugby so we’ll leave it there

The debt they carry will eventually finish them off. The whole ‘biggest rugby club in Europe’ project hasn’t worked and nor will it.

Coventry despite what they believed in 2014 hasn’t accepted this francise and it never will.

You'll leave it there because you haven't got any actual response.

Stick to fireworks and flags and leave the rugby to people who actually like and understand the game.

You've never yet backed up one of your posts with anything factual or even vaguely interesting. You were making stuff up on the other thread where you bottled it when challenged, and you're making stuff up here as well.

Begone foul wum, we've got your number now.
