Best home form against best away form in the league. Really looking forward to tonight. Injury time winner will do me!

I agree am confident about a win tonight.
However in all honesty Walsall are the only team to genuinely beat us this year in the League, although that's where Maddison got injured.
The other games we have lost were mainly down to poor referring and the Scunthorpe loss was poor tactics.
Our main problem is selection as its been a long time since we had such a squad of players available. Do not like to knock a player but do hope that Fortune is not involved he brings nothing to the table.

A little disappointed Walsall are not bringing more fans to such a big game just down the M6.

I think a lot of it has to do with taking 1,650 to Brentford on Saturday. I think if this was a Saturday we'd be nudging 2k, but anything over 1,000 is a reasonable effort from us, at our last home game there were only just over 4,000 home fans. For some reason, the support just hasn't really 'returned' even with the good football and excellent results...

(Except for the Chelsea cup game of course, where we suddenly had 11,000 packed in to the Banks's...) :thinking about:

No worries! Yeah I think most of our fans would agree that we are overachieving in terms of our relative club size to others in the division, along with the size and strength of our squad. I would say though, that the core of our team are some of the most talented in the division; Bradshaw, Sawyers, Lalkovic, Evans (on loan from Man City) Henry, O'Connor and Demetriou have all been fantastic this season and could quite easily make the step up.

I'm not convinced that we can stay the course for automatic promotion, and a lot depends on whether we can keep our prize assets this month, but if we do and we don't have a dramatic Dean Smith-esque collapse, then we should finish comfortably within the play-offs. I think with the signings you've made, along with the fact you actually have a decent manager now, means you will probably pull away from the rest in the coming months. Although who else goes up is anyone's guess!

Moving your fans into the 2 stands does make much more sense, our game against you last year at the Ricoh just looked ridiculous with the crowd only just over 8,000. What a difference a year makes!

How has Joe Cole been? Lots of fanfare when you signed him on loan back in October time (I think?) but haven't heard that much since then...

Should be a good game though, and I'm just hoping we pull off a performance like we have against the other top teams...

Agreed should be a good game and yes that game last year was horrendous against you. 0-0 and it was dull as ditch water with no atmosphere at all.

Tonight will be a lot different. I'm not so sure on the league placings. We won't pull away in my opinion it's not our style lol but I expect to get top 6 now at least. Same for yourselves no reason why you can't get top 6. Both Walsall and Cov fans would of taken that as the season start. The fact is the top 2 autos are up for grabs and no one will run away with it for me. Burton top of the pile suggests this.

Joe Cole to answer your question looks unfit and leggy to me. Experience and skill you can't deny him but he hasn't exactly pulled up any trees but I shall refer back to Armstrong leagues top goal scorer and Maddison and Jordan Murphy who is my favourite of the three. Cole supplements then fantastic due to the other threes ages.

You do have good players and the league doesn't lie for me. Bradshaw in particular I would say is the stand out. Not too keen on sawyers myself. I heard clubs are sniffing around them which is only natural as same with us and Maddison.

Here is to a good game.

Walsall have won 5 of their last 6 league games, and have an excellent away record, so I really think it's a case of which team wants it most on the night.

think our back 4 is vital

do not wanna play walsall with phillips or haynes even if they are playing better now

stokes martin ramage ricketts would be ok even if not played together again

TM knows best though

I'm going for a win to us by a couple of goals. We tend to play better against the better teams who don't stifle us and try and play against us. Gillingham being a point in case.

I didn't notice TM even mention Martin in his press conference so assumed he wasn't going to be back (hope he is).

Didn't TM say something along the lines that there are no additional injury concerns of the players that have been available recently?

would take anything but a loss tonight as I don't want to lose momentum going into Saturday's game where I think we will beat burton.

Haha you're never confident. Guarantee towards the end of the game there's a Nick post along the lines of 'can only see them winning it', on the match thread.

Anyone looked at the Saddlers Forum?
They fancy a win tonight and are getting very excited about bringing close to a 1,000 fans away.

Really looking forward to tonight as I've been stuck in bed today being ill. Walsall are a threat and I hope TM has a handle on dealing with them and neutralising that threat. If we can score early on it might provide the spur we need to dominate the game. PUSB

If Walsall beat us tonight then they deserve to go up, we've been great so far this season and if they can take 6 points from us then fair play to them. Hopefully we are fired up for it and can really start pushing for autos from this win onwards.

Very eager for the match to start, I doubt it'll be called off, tbh.

2-1 win, Arma and Murphy, let's be having it.

A draw wouldn't be a catastrophe, but I'd like to see us making our mark as serious Auto-promotion contenders. PUSB

I havnt been this nervous in ages!, id take a draw right now, I think...

I'm deliberately lowering my expectations as expectations are a killer.

BIG GAME, They just announced on twitter a minutes silence tonight for MM.

We will fight till the game is won! CITY!

Still saying 1-1. They score first and we are saved by a late goal from a sub.

I'm nervous. Don't think we'll win but that's not saying we won't. Need a good performance. They're a lively side, and imho the only side to outplay us this season.

What team does everyone think TM will pick?
