so you are saying that an over the hill carthorse who is well past his best " if ever there was a best" is better than a younger faster hungrier player like Tavares, if we have any aspirations of making the playoff's, you really think we are going to make it with waghorn in the side, no chance, but we might have a chance with tavares thou.

Difference is the manager chased walker for 2 years before spending £1m on him and will probably end up being released for free

He didn't chase Walker for 2 years. He signed Chaplin and then Godden in that period.

If I'm reading the accounts correctly, @oldskyblue58 might correct, but this suggests possibly £2.15m spend in transfer fees 1/6/20 to 31/5/21, so that's fees for Hamer (said to be £1.35m) and Walker (£800k)

Potentially promotion add-ons for the likes of Godden and Allen too? No deal's a bulk sum up front after all (and that includes Walker of course!).

Sure we signed a couple of others for low fees as well. Hilßner maybe?

Considering it's all about confidence with players these morons haven't a clue.

Exactly - it'll be a different story when he gets the winner at Wembley

I'm not sure Overson necessarily "paid for Hamer", but he does invest a fair bit of money into the club and helps out where he can.

Awful miss with the header but perfectly weighted ball for Hamer goal. He looked more confident after that and had some good touches.

Awful miss with header. Jogged around and pointed a lot. No pace pressing. Even got his legs in a tangle for the Hamer goal (recovered to pass, I know). Bobbins.

Not one player comes away with any credit today, nor the manager. Really poor performance.
We need a really big couple of weeks, 8 points minimum before the break. If its not to be its been a decent season but we desperately need reinforcements for next season, today's bench says it all.

The header wasn't an easy chance, very little pace on the cross and he did the right thing trying to guide it into the corner

There was noone near him and he has a neck worth two. He should be able to generate pace from that.

I said it before, his fitness levels need to be near 100% for him to contribute, and when they are hes an asset.

Really want him to come good and fitness aside you can see what he'd add to the team, but be surprised if he's here next season.
Not sure if he'd push through a move away?

I don't think he actually touched the ball. Good thinking to run on for the 1-2 though. Still basically made the goal
