Villa Tickets (20 Viewers)

Iv f****d up and forgot to buy my tickets before the 16:00 window closed yesterday - am I able to buy when the next window opens being a season ticket holder or is it just for those who bought the memberships? Will I have to wait now till general sale on Friday?

I didnt forget, I've deliberately waited as we want to try different seats. I'm hoping the next window is actually STs and memberships. Be a bit silly not to be really.

People have legitimately said they won't go as it's expensive which it is especially as it'll likely be two teams of second strings. The club are making a fortune off TV revenue there is absolutely no reason why this shouldn't be max £15 adult and £5 kids

Everton v wolves £15/£5
Palace v Boro £15/£5
City v.norwich £15/£5
Sunderland v hull £15/£5
Ipswich v arsenal £30/£15
Muff v Lincoln £15/£3
Reading v Brentford £15/£9/£5

Can't be arsed to look at the rest
None of those games are rivalry games…

And the only sort of analogous is the Ipswich V Arsenal fixture that is priced similarly.

If we were playing Hull at home it would be priced differently I am sure.

It is, spoke with the ticket office yesterday as we are planning on doing the same thing. Should be able to choose any unbought seat from 10am today.

I guess the USP for the Spurs game was it was a PL opponent for the only game of that season. We've got 19 of those in the league alone this year.

What do people reckon on chances of this making it to Friday's "people with purchase history" window?

yeah, it will

think it will sell though as people really want to see us play Villa and can't be bothered to wait a few months for the league game.

I think it will eventually sell out but clearly there will be more tickets available than a league game and anyone who wants to will get a ticket if they don’t hang about

It’s already noticeable how languid the pace of PL fixtures is- no midweek games due to European games when in the EFL we would be playing Saturday/midweek twice already.

Looking at the map, it would appear around 50% of ST holders haven't purchased in the priority window, so loads left.

According to CCFC ticket scanner it appears as though there are over 11,000 still available, looks like a lot of season ticket holders haven’t bothered with this one..

Looks like it.
10am, Tuesday 8th September: Tickets on sale to Sky Blue Members (Adult/Teen/Junior/International) until 10am, Friday 11th September.
10am, Friday 11th September: Tickets on sale to supporters with previous purchase history

We are now going because fuck my holiday , but 12000 tickets remaining suprised me

Can see it now, all the Villa fans sneering 'They have waited this long to play us and this is how many turn up' etc. etc.
fuck them

also let us wait until near the game before claiming it will be empty, I know loads of people who aren't regular fans who fancy this game

It's interesting. In a world of transparent sales, I believe lacklustre sales promotes lacklustre sales and vice versa.

Saying that, 2k have gone since 10am

Does anyone happen to know if you can move seats. I brought my ST's as I assumed it would be a sell out, now would like to move just for a change of scenery. if there is lots of availability.

Bet the ticket office could do that for you. Can't see a reason why not.

I would love to see the generational split stats on this fixture. I'm in my mid 40s and I bet there will be a much higher proportion of supporters in their 40s/50s/60s who see it as a big game who have been waiting 25 years to give them some payback who are desperate to go. Then there is the younger generation. Too young to remember the bitter rivalry (it was, don't play it down, who can remember the delight we had when we eventually won at Villa Park in 1998 in the cup) and who see Leicester and even Sunderland as our main rivalries.

We'll see, but I will be disappointed if it doesn't sell out.

On the actual footballing side, if I were Lampard I would be grateful for this extra fixture. Gives a good opportunity to test things out with lots of new players
