They have a women’s only swimming session at the Warwick uni pool on a Friday afternoon and I forgot and wandered into the pool. There were no signs up!! The lifeguard came over and apologetically said it’s women’s swimming only. I was mortified, I was gonna try the we’re all women voice but thought better of itI can only think of two places I've ever worked that didn't have mixed bathrooms, was never an issue.
Similarly I recall when I was living in Portsmouth and they opened a new swimming pool the changing rooms were mixed, again it was a non-issue.
As with leaving the EU it seems to have become and issue when people have been fed a stream of targeted social media campaigns.
Personally I think the people you want to keep out of changing rooms of any type are sex offenders, child molesters etc.
