That team would struggle in the championship. Baker has a shocking record int he championship, JOB has only ever played for a relagtion battling team in the championship. Barton why? Clarke and moussa not even getting a game in the championship? That team would concede so many still, Haynes and Christie both suspect defensively. Please say this was a joke?

Fair enough but we still need to build a team that will get us out of this league

I think we have a very good basis for a team atm tbf. Many may disagree but what is vital for teams getting out of the lower divisions is keeping clean sheets we are doing very well atm. Now we just need to find a way to get consistency in the team, with performances like the one at Walsall, where we actually attacked well. Need to add one more attacking midfielder, and also a striker (other than madine and nouble) . We aren't far off of being a good team, we have a lot of exciting young players, just need to get this window bang on.

I would say it is just somebody who doesn't really have a clue As long as they can shout SISU out though without actually knowing much, let's not get in the way.

I'd be happy with Nouble (need to offer him a deal quick before others approach him) Madine, Fleck, Willis and Jackson.

I think SISU are still pissing themselves at your premier league lineup.

The team was crying out for wingers but I'm not so sure with this new formation. A lightning quick striker would be nice, especially if we lose Nouble.
Nouble is important to keep, though. That front three of Jackson, Madine and Nouble is (in my opinion) pretty nicely balanced with pace, power and skill.
A new central midfielder could be important. I'm not sure where I stand with Fleck, but I suppose him signing a new deal wouldn't be a bad thing in the short term. He's not a quick/physical player by any means but has some amazing technical attributes which can surely only get better, as he is only 23.
Are we still thinking Kirkland on loan goalkeeper-wise?

I don't think we currently need to look for a goalie ,I reckon Alsopp has finally stepped up post Burge stint .

I think this transfer window will tell us a lot about the future and where sisu stand regarding that, potentially we could be desperately short of players, losing the loanees, players coming out of contract at the end of the season will sisu turn their noses up if offers, even low ones are received for them and I also suspect bids will come in for the likes of Haynes. If nobody leaves we need players, a goalkeeper perhaps two, centre midfield and a striker so if a number go we obviously need more. Where does the money come from ?

We need a hard midfielder (tough tackler) with abit of grit, we need a winger with decent pace and able to create chances (right sided would be better), decent left back if haynes is going to play left wing and id get ride of Tudgay and miller and bring in a decent striker either chopra or some hot shot from the conference with a point to prove.

Considering we aren't playing wingers really atm why do we need a RM? So you would Drop JOB? We have Reda and Pugh at left back? You really want chopra? another slow 30 year old target man? Who has a pretty poor scoring record, who in the team would he replace? Madine? Jackson? Nouble? (if we resign)

Do we not think Burge is good enough back up? i'd probably agree if we had the funds but I think in this window we have to be careful on what we spend, I think Allsop has proven himself and it is now one of the positions we don't need to urgently address?

I think Burge should be shipped out, has been awful every time I have seen him and then the Worcester thing.

I am not sure about Kirkland, could he stay fit? Wouldn't he want big wages?

What about Kirkland coming back? Would give the experience needed for a young backline, especially after the last game. An old head in goal might not be a bad idea ; providing he could stay fit and also don't forget we can't judge him on the player he used to be...

Not if we are going to have to pay decent wages for him to be on the treatment table.

Played 83 games last two seasons before losing his place so hopefully his injuries are behind him.

Burge isn't up to league one standard if I'm honest. Had no confidence in him every game he's played-the Peterborough free kick (yes it did move but still should have been saved) was a prime example.
Since Allsop came out the team and has gone back in he has been much more solid, his kicking has improved and he's been more commanding of his area.

It would be great to have a good, experienced keeper like Kirkland. However, I don't think we could afford the wage he would want.

Boltons tom eaves is being linked with us tonight.

0 goals in 7 during a loan spell with Yeovil.

Pressley was after him last summer if I recall.

I think you will find that matt Tubbs plays for AFC Wimbledon. He left Bournemouth 3 seasons ago (at least). Signed for AFC W from Crawley. The time we should have signed him was when he was playing for Salisbury City. I wrote to AT recommending him but got no reply.

Tubbs is still contracted to Bournemouth, he's on loan at Wimbledon. Rumours down here is that Pompey are very keen. Besides he's played in league 1 and didn't cut it.

Couple of people, not the most reliable of sources to be fair, have told me Pompey have offered him £5K a week as they're desperate to get him. Apparently the Pompey chairman gave him a standing ovation when he got subbed off at the end of the Pompey v AFC game (which AFC won 2-0 with Tubbs getting the second).

I've heard pretty similar, not quite 5k mind. I know they were praying he didn't play a blinder vs Liverpool, just in case a bigger fish came in for him. I think he'll end up there tbh. I don't think he'd do any good for us anyway.

I just looked him up on wiki and he says he scored 49 goals in 65 games while at Crawley for 2 seasons, not to shabby

Oh yes we are far off. We don't have a reliable keeper, we don't have any attacking midfielders and no prolific strikers. We don't have a designated penalty specialist (we missed the last two pens). We have a team with the maximum number of loanees. And lastly we have a manager who has not settled on a playing formation yet. I still see the main aim for the rest of this season is to avoid relegation. I don't see the play-offs as a realistic hope. I also expect at the end of the season, anyone sellable will be sold, just like the past two seasons.
