That is a shambles.

Once our once in a generation manager moves on we'll fall back down the leagues being run like this.

As I assume is selling a player unless the fee is going towards wages and transfer fee.

They were always going to be. Increased contracts for Hamer, Hyam, Allen, Godden and O'Hare, Ryton pitches being relaid, performance bonuses payments for Robins/Viveash and the players.

The increase in turnover won't be overly significant and has likely only marginally increased the playing budget.

I’m not aware of foreign targets , I think we are looking at young centre backs who belong to premier league teams that have been on loan previously , the problem with loans from premier league they normally happen at the end of the window

I think there was only ever going to be 4 perhaps 5 players coming in , MR was only given the wages he could free up

Not getting the bigger squad he wanted then?

A sale might give us more room to manoeuvre with regards to offering transfer fees but it certainly won't increase our fixed playing budget if that what you were getting at.

The budget is the budget and that isn't likely to change.

Hamstringing the manager in January when we had a real shot at the top 6. Doing it again in the summer it seems

Well 10,000 tickets at an extra £50 plus let’s say 2,000 at an extra £300 on average, about an extra £1 million on the back of a fag packet. You get the point though-fans continue to back the club in great numbers despite the general financial conditions and Robins is told to scrub together whatever he can find from down the sofa.

It’s like we’re just waiting to get relegated back to a more affordable division.

We have invested in longer contracts for our better players. And improvements in Ryton. Perhaps a little patience is needed, let's see who comes in, rather than getting our knickers in a twist over press speculation.

Did the player who came over to the Bournemouth game decide he wasn’t interested then?

We never really had a chance of Top 6. Mathematically, yes, of course we did. But our overall squad was very clearly not good enough to see it out.

There’s no rush to get to the top 6, so long we make incremental progress, I’m happy.

Season ticket sales not irrelevant either, as otherwise the wage budget would probably be less than last season, and it'd be freeing up wages without replacing...

Jamie Allen and Liam Kelly are not among our better players. The problem this season was having so little depth beyond the first XI, but we’re looking like competing with similar numbers to last time.

What we seem to be leaning towards are expensive free transfers from other bloated squads. In Kane’s case we’ve decided to chuck him after not even a year.

Who says we've chucked Kane? That's more press hyperbole. Relax, sit tight and trust MR, has he not improved us every season? Has he not earnt a bit of faith?

No, as it's realistic and sensible

You do this about 20 times a year and are usually wrong.

4 to 5 players is what i'd expect

The early season ticket sales is it just to support cash flow then, there is no particularly material effect on budget

Must say I'm a bit exasperated at some of the reaction
All we're dealing with is rumours both in and out
Let's wait for genuine information
Most clubs are yet to start doing business and no one gets all their targets
And if we do lose any of our big players we'll get the right money - some of which will be given to Robins

After reading comments from the itk's, my concern is, even if one of the so called big three were to be sold, is that MR would have a pittance to reinvest

And others will be wrong as well. 4 to 5 players of better quality than we have is a good window.

Oh and one of the "ITK" thinks you are being a fanny it seems

Not really - we all know the constraints MR has to work with. Presumably he will have to work to a budget part of which will be based on estimated average attendances. If we had sold 8,000 STs, then the budget may have been based on 17k. Having sold in excess of 11k, the budget may be based on 20k. I don't profess to know, but there has to be a correlation between expected income and expenditure.

Well the general impression of us scrimping around seems accurate. Any frustration is really with those making the manager operate in this fashion.

It's almost like CCFC is run as a business. People use loses as a stick to beat Wasps but when CCFC try to live within their means and not spunk money they don't have at the wall it's meltdown time.

Sometimes this place is just the Facebook group but with better spelling.

He calls the shots
That's why the big guys are all on expensive contracts
It was a risk giving them as a bad injury is always the fear when doing that - then we would have been buggered
But Robins wanted to make sure we had the mic when it comes to richer clubs trying to strip our assets
