Don't think this was the best statement Tpny Mowbray could have made has started a bit of a speculation frenzy. Obviously said it for good reasons but aspirations will now soar and the same aspirations will deminish should it not happen possibly leading to apathy

Darren Carter was on Midlands today a few days ago saying that he was trying to find a club and was willing to play at any level, played for WBA in 2006, midfielder. Maybe ?

Looking at the squads mowbray had at west brom i cant see anyone whos a free agent and considered 'top class' and those who are still play for teams and out of our reach

Doesn't fit into the "better than this level" as was last at Northampton.

Pratley is club captain at Bolton and under contract til 2018.

Henry still contracted to QPR although i think i read they were trying to offload him because of his wages.

Fair enough. Pratley was on football league website as released and Henry was listed as released by the Mirror.

He's a winger. That's the reason it's not him.

Makes no sense that if a player is that good and will play with money not being an option others have not taken a chance on signing him.. Quality is quality no matter who you have in any position in the squad if it improves it you have to take him..

Think his contract ran out this summer so technically released but he has signed on again for another 3 years. Spent 5 months out injured so they probably wanted to see how his recovery went before offering a new deal.

Surprised he is only 30, one of those players who seems to have been around forever.

Not the Wilson we all want. But would be a good addition to our squad.

He probably knows very little of what is going on and is told just before he tells the fans but everybody likes to feel they are in the know.

What's the point? He works for the club, obviously knows a few thing. But it's people asking him, not him telling them.

Dangling the signings carrot, I am not to bothered as I have already fallen into getting a season ticket again.

I guess he could be a player who has had bad injuries and no club will risk buying him.
TM said he just wants to play, so maybe he needs games to prove he is over his injuries
and get his career back on track.

Could be why TM has not signed him yet, as it would take wages away from other signings/loans
and might not even play many games if his injury flares up again.

Offer him a monthly contract then or one for three months with an option to extend it
