This link to video games is nonsense. Not likes kids that used to play Pac-man grew up to move erratically around a dark room chomping pills hemmed in by people in fluorescent clothing!

Doubt it will be on junior sizes. Those kits couldn't have the sky bet logo on them in the past.

Have McDonald's been done for putting chopped up kids in their burgers or something I've missed? Seems an odd company to bring up alongside noted Hollywood rapists

Evil capitalists selling dodgy fatty burgers exploiting the third world and trashing the environment, innit.

Oh, here's a game to play if you're bored.

The McDonald's Videogame

Making money in a corporation like McDonald's is not easy! Behind every burger there is a complex process you need to master: from pastures to the slaughterhouse, from restaurants to branding. You'll discover all the dirty secrets that made us one of the biggest company in the world.

Although I far prefer this one!

Faith Fighter

Faith Fighter is the ultimate fighting game for these dark times. Choose your belief and kick the shit out of your enemies. Give vent to your intolerance! Religious hate has never been so much fun.

Nobody was complaining when Granada Bingo were our sponsors, pretty sure not everyone with an ‘87 shirt is a hardcore gambling and bingo addict! What about the lads who owned the Spurs shirt with Holsten Pils on it, full blown alcoholics? Don’t think so. Total over reaction. A company is giving our club a ton of money to print their logo on our shirts, not to buy our children, brainwash them into gambling addictions and eat their souls.

My kids had last years shirt. Fuckers still haven’t bought me a house

Look how much sky bet has cashed in on new gamblers since they’ve done it. I also recall them having to pay a massive fine not to long ago for failing practices and not checking where gamblers funds came from. We all know the EFL don’t give a fuck but aren’t we constantly banging on how we’re a ‘family club’. Not much of a family club if we’re saying here you go kids your fave player is gonna run around with a bookie on the front of your shirt. We all know how much we all recognise brands and stick to certain brands. Imagine how much an undeveloped teenagers brain will have their mind tainted by a bookie sponsor.

I feel for you I really do and I can understand your reluctance to buy a shirt with that on it. But where do you draw the line? Millions if not billions of people around the world gamble responsibly and don't have a Gambling addiction and it can be a fun thing to do.

Would I prefer we didn't have a gambling sponsor, yeh. But is it worth being at a competitive disadvantage? I don't think so.

I know you have clearly had an awful time with it but you're making out that it's a massive evil and anyone who gets tempted to put a bet on is doomed when that's simply not the case.

People struggle with obesity, do we ban fast food and chocolate? I have a friend who has huge financial problems and can't stop spending tens of thousands on credit cards. Do we stop credit card company advertising?

Think a bit OTT

As we are sponsored by Boyles, presumably we will score more from the spot.

If it's the one about asking them to produce adult sizes without the sponsor I can agree with the sentiment but the club are very open about discussions with fans - just get in touch with the club. I could be wrong but sense running to the MPs via social media is something of a show for 'likes'.

I think if you want the shirt without the sponsor it should be an option but maybe there's a small extra charge (£5 - £10 say) which could go to Zoe's Place or SBITC or something.

It's a bit of an odd complaint as he's saying he has a relative who had a gambling additiction and wants to be able to wear the shirt when he goes to their house. Why not wear a different shirt on those days?

You're kidding!?
Hadn't read the details... Clearly just attention seeking then.
I assume his relative doesn't watch any football at all either in person or even on TV then if he's that susceptible?

Yes we should stop junk food and credit card adverts.

We made the decision as a society long ago with smoking that while legal these sorts of things shouldn’t be advertised.

I think it's unlikely that the club will produce adult replicas without the sponsor. Part of what BoyleSport will have paid for will be the advertising that comes from fans wearing the shirt out and about and I doubt we're in a strong enough position to be making demands like that in our favour. We need the cash.

Antifa'd? Give it a rest.

Personally not got an issue with itself but trying silly political point scoring on on an issue which is very real to some people (of all political leanings)
Is a bit fucking crass

Gambling needs to stop being so promoted in sport sure but i won't have a meltdown about a shirt sponsor

If you triggered to gamble you have a problem and need to go speak with someone. Solve the problem rather than avoid it and dream of allsopp and allsop lol

Ideally gambling sponsors would be banned. But you can't blame the club for taking the money on this one, especially when gambling is rammed down peoples throats elsewhere, especially Sky Bet with their Soccer Saturday that Paul Merson conveniently sits out.

Or people could exercise free choice. You don't have to buy a shirt. Or if you do, you don't have to gamble.

I wondered how this works in other cases, Celtic and West Ham do it among others and they've got potentially a lot more betting bellies wandering about. I guess with those clubs the logos will be seen on screen and print a lot more than us so they're happy enough with the exposure that brings, and the amount of people choosing a blank version will be relatively minimal

Sports gambling makes me laugh when it comes to companies being so (apparently) discouraging about it. Bet responsibly, yeah, there’s at least 2 ads on every break.

‘When the fun stops, stop.’ Don’t understand how impulse works, eh?

I had a look at this the other week .
Don't know how accurate it was but I was surprised that despite the money and exposure problem gambling has remained at around 0.6% for decades

Disclaimer: Absolutely not belittling gambling addiction with this message and as already said, I would prefer we didn't have a gambling sponsor.

Looking at Premier League sponsorships gambling is the most prominent but then you also have airlines. How long before people call for those to be banned as why are we advertising airlines if frequent air travel is having such an impact on the earth and we should be reducing our carbon footprint? One for a decade or two in the future maybe.

The childrens kit sizes have been very small in the recent past, there's no way my 12 year old will fit in a kids kit for this season. Not that I'm bothered about the sponsor though, he's not got access to be able to gamble and if he did have I'd be to blame more than a football kit. There's so much sponsorship around these days I rarely take note of who the sponsor is, making a fuss of it is surely raising the profile more.
