I don't know, possibly depends how you think of things,,Is it being prepared for a future where the bicycle rules?
How long into the future do they look?
Not sure but I think what annoyed most people was the closing of the road - it was one way only for whet seemed months Stratford has a terrible traffic circulation record as it is - the Birmingham road is a no go area at times with 8!sets of traffic lights

There's already examples of this locally, malfunction junction without needing cycle royi, more like to make people stop and buy things.

Banks - They’ve long been a source of annoyance and my need to actually visit a branch is seldom - Until today.
No queue at the counter 😮
It soon became apparent why - Any business that doesn’t involve cash (I was setting up a standing order) is now transferred over to a single desk - Where there was a huge queue.

NHS is so fucked.

Sat in A&E and it’s a shitshow.

Suspected to have broke my nose last Monday playing football. given it a week to reduce swelling and it’s still a state. Went to GP hoping they could refer me to someone to advise if it’s broken or not and they said “Go to A&E”.

Been in A&E 3 hours now for something which isn’t an emergency and feel a right Melon

NHS England with help from all the consultancies it has paid handsomely over the years has made a complete mess of urgent and emergency care, with various confusing "pathways" rather than just focusing on addressing the real problem, which is GP and A&E capacity.

I think tje GP should be referring you to your local urgent treatment centre, you're in the Black Country I think:

Yep went to the GP this morning, completely empty and they fobbed me off to here! could have been in and out with referral

Back to dog owners again (and I am one, but do think I do things correctly)
Type 1 - Let their dog shit wherever they want, on the pavement, on the road, on grass, no intention of ever picking it up
Type 2 - Pick their dogs mess up, but then just discard the poo bag at the side of the pavement
Grow the fuck up all of you and take your dogs mess away to a bin or home

Yeah. Happens all the time. We always pick up and carry (sometimes for bloody miles). However, the other day we walked right round Burbage Common and the woods there, and counted four discarded bags of shite. Given that most bags are non biodegradeable, I really don't get why people don't at least 'stick and flick' it into the undergrowth where it can slowly compost down out of sight.
Beggars belief.

House and contents insurance Admiral ! Got my renewal gone up 64% - fuck that - told him how much I would be prepared to pay which was a 10% increase on last year - he then told me the rise was because costs have gone up - I said how can that be as you reduced it by £50 last year - anyway took a lower level cover but will move companies next year ( I had missed the deadline do didn’t have a lot of choice ) done the compare the market bollox and now paying around the average

Always amazes me why companies shit on their "loyal" customers. If it had gone up 10%, then fair enough. But now they will lose you and it's much harder to gain a new customer than keep an existing one.
Pure greed and relying on people not bothering to look for a better option.

I have said this before ..but roadworks signs that say road ahead closed when they are not ..and basically the companies are too lazy to take them down

Ai triage,it will be beautiful, hands off approach, just lovely.
It really made me think anyone going there for headaches, stomach pains, Antibiotics, Pain killers should be fined.

Total waste of time, the GP was empty. I am convinced we are a nation of hypochondriacs.

With the information you can find online these days you can often end up in the situation where you're 99% certain what the problem is and what needs to be done but you have to jump through hoops to get the treatment.

Problem is if you allow self referrals people take the piss. While back I ended up in A&E for 3 days because they didn't want to admit me but also didn't want to send me home. Chatting to the staff there there are numerous people known to them that turn up on a weekly, if not daily, basis but they can't just send them away and it clogs the system up.

Add in that other services have been closed so they're swamped with homeless people with nowhere else to go, people with mental health issues, alcohol & drug issues etc and its no wonder A&E has ground to a complete halt.

How many people wouldn't go to A&E if they could turn up at a local GP after work and see someone, how many people have zero clue about walk in centres, minor injuries centres etc. The default seems to be can't see a GP, go to A&E.

Yes, I could not believe how many people with mental health issues were there. There is a mental health facility next door to the hospital I was in. I wonder why there isnt an emergency department there.

Lots in for stomach issues, but happy to eat the free sandwiches and drink the free coffee.

Tooth aches, colds amongst other ailments there yesterday.

If you are able to sit in A&E for 8 hours, you probably dont need to be there.
