I'd steer clear of gigante, we would mention them to students just because of the proximity and reviews weren't exactly glowing.

I miss the days when Eclipse were in business, zero decent customer service & I think they closed the business owing money here & there but you could just pop out and get the bits for a build or an upgrade. The owners definitely did alright out of it, I remember seeing a Porsche in the car park there.

Place was not cheap for sure so someone was making money. They only ever seemed to employ one or two people, you could be queuing in there for hours on a Saturday.

Heading out to Turkey soon for work and the project manager has asked me to stick "a few bits and bobs" in my suitcase to give to the engineering lads (cables, couplers, UHF antennas). Turns out what he meant was "the shipyard is having problems with customs so will you take these items into the country illegally and hopefully not get caught please?".

What would happen if you put them in oversize or the equivalent?

Not good things if you're caught I imagine. I don't fancy learning the Turkish for "why are you putting that latex glove on?"

I'm not au fait with the technicalities of exporting/importing goods for business but obviously there's declarations, documents and fees involved. The implication was to split stuff over several people's suitcases and walk it through the "Nothing to Declare" bit to get round that and speed things up rather than specifically trying to dodge fees etc. but y'know...all the same to a customs officer.

Yeah that's a bit stupid., what about tool boxes are you flying with them in tow or on a trailer, don't think I would personally, I did once work with a guy who succeeded getting blow into Dubai.

Just a laptop and small network switch for me. I think their tools are flown out before the first trip, then there's an office in the yard they can be kept in to save them going back and forth.

It's one of those where 9 times out of 10 nothing happens, but that 10th time will be a horrific.

Depending on your viewpoint, Coventry City council could be trailing a good Idea and one that we had a discussion on here in the recent past.
Don't where they're running it but it shows a motorway type rd,so maybe the 444 could be a site tested, but it sounds like the scalextric we were discussing in the past, leccy cars Will be obsolete and not able to afford it as I'm sure there'll be a charge for usage if it ever comes in, Oh where's this energy coming from when it's all planned to go on AI.
Can't we just go back to the paper trail before the people capable of doing so all die off?

I know I've moaned about this before, but people (I think first year students) who walk on the ring road junctions and sometimes try to cross instead of using the tunnels below.

What an excellent but occasionally messy initiation rite.

In the village I live in we have three "Dog poo bag dispensers" and it's pretty much eradicated Dog shit on the pavements....Horse Shit however is another story!!!.
My granddaughter has a scheme from school where she changes the bags, placed it in her street about two years back.

Octopus Energy really pissing me off, we switched from them being our electricity & gas supplier 4 weeks ago and are still waiting for the money in our account to be refunded. They continually give different reasons for the delay & only respond to any email I send at the end of the working day.

They are useless, it took them ages to refund me too.

Should probably go under things that making me fucking livid tbh haha but anyway here goes:

My daughter (9 years old) called me from school yesterday asking if she could ride home with a friend of her's and stay over for a bit until I got home from practice(I coach American football at the school I teach at). I said sure that is fine just let me check with your friend's mom. Skip ahead, we worked it out, and she went home with her friend.

Now, to add context to this, I explicitly told her friend's mom to grab my girl's Epi-Pen from the nurse at the school as she has a severe peanut allergy. She said she would and we got off the phone. However, she then called me later on and was highly emotional as she had had to run my daughter to the hospital due to having a very bad allergic reaction. I of course asked did she not use the Epi-Pen? And she said she had forgotten to get it from the nurse. After I essentially cussed her out for being a dumbass, she tried to make excuses and I just hung up the phone and went straight to the hospital.

My daughter is ok and I suppose she did a good thing in rushing my girl straight to the hospital, but damn do not forget something as important as an Epi-Pen when I literally told you more than once to get it. Now some might say the school should have made sure my daughter got it, but that is not the point.

My heart is still racing and needless to say my daughter will not be going over there anymore. Oh and yeah, her friend's mom has no explanation on how my daughter ate something with nuts in it. My ass. My daughter is very self-aware and knows to not eat something unless she is under the impression from the adult who gives it to her that it has no nuts in it.

Smdh!

They are all the same regardless of their self publicising radio adverts.
No doubt done whilst holding a gun to the heads of fawning 'customers'.
Yeah but how do you expect them to get the next six months or years tranche if you don't buy it for them first, fairs fair and all that, think their all playing this game?

Watch out for balloon's if ever you go up the football match, different category yes, have you tried this method for getting them normalised with what they were allergic too, like they give them the smallest amount possible and build from there, pretty sure it doesn't work for everything?

Again, Sunday league teams thinking they are premier League on social media.

It's cringe worthy some of the shit and self importance.
Part of the reason I stopped playing cricket. Playing the most average of bowling teams, sledging you like they've got Freddie Flintoff and Shane Warne alternating the bowling attack!
