Incredibly specific as well. But backwards ham annoys me at least 3 times a month.

Parma ham is the worst, because of the little plastic sheets between the slices.

People who insist on driving classic cars, but spend most of the time at the side of a single carriageway broken down.

Add to that people towing caravans broken down at side of the road.

My motorcycle insurance is due next month & if I renew the policy with current insurer they will charge me an admin fee of £35. If I take out a new policy with them there is no admin fee, what the hell is that all about?

Traveling on the M6 3 to 2 today. The gantry signs showing junction 1 closed telling everyone to move into lanes 1 and 2 all the usual suspects flying along in lane 3 get to the junction and they are still out in 3 and expect those who are in 2 to let them in and when they decided to leave them out there certain 1's in 3 took offense. Hope next time some of them might just do the decent thing and queue.

Players that come to mind are 'Dele' and 'Kun Aguero', unless I'm missing some obvious ones, particularly first names?

A lot of the Wolves players have it, it prompted me last night.

I find it makes it hard to remember which players play for clubs sometimes. I used to know the squads of all the Premier League teams, now I'd struggle to name 50% of players.

Fun fact. Kun Kun is a Japanese cartoon character. This was Agueros nickname as a child.

Actually thinking about this a bit more. Every single Brazilian player does this. Even Pele is a nickname.

Scratchcards. Not so much the cards themselves but the very public scratching of them.
FFS people, have some dignity. Get home, close all the curtains/blinds, turn the TV up to full volume and then by all means, scratch away!

They're an absolute con. The online games are linked with them I believe, so you can be buying/playing for a prize that isn't available anymore.

I never play scratch cards usually, but the geezer in front on me in a queue bought loads, spent about £20 on them, so I thought I'd take a punt and actually won £80 on a 2 or 3 pound scratch card.

Mates Dad won £30k on a scratch card, he’d been buying them for years though so God know how much he really ended up.

I've yet to see someone buy one or two. Every single time they're getting at least a tenner's worth and playing them all there and then regardless of any queue building behind them, because if you win a quid you don't want to waste a second waiting to get another scratchcard and lose it immediately

Lad that don't like some kind of sport.

Appreciate not everyone likes football but find it strange that some don't like any sport.

So you like football? No hate it
Rugby? No
Cricket? No
Golf? No
F1? No
Boxing? No
Snooker? No
Darts? No
Athletics? No

Wow...

The other thing on my mind is the over-analysing of football. The new stat - expected goals!

Why, what is the point of it? I don't know how they come up with the figures but I'm sure it will be along the lines of chances/shots on target divided by the league's average chance count to score. Yet a team could have 20 chances in a game, all be on target but each shot could be a delicate grasscutter straight at the keeper.

Keep football simple!

Few things bother me, but the one thing that really, really gets me is difficult people. You know what I mean?

The sort that make any task, easy or hard, really difficult due to general stupidity or they want to seem capable. It gets to the point that I sometimes just think "forget it" if I know one of these types are involved. I'd rather they were honest with me and just said "hey, I've never done this before, but I can give it a go". That way, at least I can try and help them.

xG is how many times a shot from there would be scored. It’s obviously got some utility because looking at it tells us things we know like Max and O’Hare have missed a load of sitters. Nothing to do with shots on target.

Someone in Bournemouth robbed about £1,000 worth from a Tesco express and only won about £200

Plus he got caught and fined/prison

effin drives me stupid crazy when I nip into a shop to buy a few odds and the person in front of me is having their lottery number checked, then choosing from the section of a gazillion scratchcards "I'll have one of them, two of them, oh and one of them"

I find myself looking around wistfully but secretly seething inside.

The stat makes sense to me - not perfect, but no stat is. If you've ever watched a game and said "He should have scored / He should have hit the target from there" then you're already using it!

Think the problem is stats that are only really needed by clubs data analytics people and those really into deep diving that kind of thing are being thrown around by the likes of Sky and MotD without really understanding what they mean.

Look at something as simple as possession. That was discussed on here recently and 3 definitions were given of what the stat is actually measuring, they were all different but all had been in use as some point in recent years but the measure gets changed to try and make it more accurate.
