Theresa May has staked her legacy as PM on this Brexit deal, she's had to essentially promise to step down after Brexit is finalised to cling on to power, desperately. She was never an enthusiastic Remainer and was pretty non-committal during the referendum. She wouldn't have become PM had she been an enthusiastic Remainer like Osborne or Cameron (hence their political careers died with Brexit). Anyway, she's committed to Brexit, that's pretty clear because she's publically rejected Tony Blair's calls for a second referendum. Even some of her closest allies are pushing for a second referendum under her nose.

Either way, the Brexiteers blew their chance to govern the country because they couldn't put aside their personal ambition, Boris Johnson was the best hope for a Brexiteer PM, and Gove 'persuaded' him not to run. The likelihood was that May would've beaten him on the membership vote anyway.

That isn't correct though. She was one of the rare ones that knew what would happen and stated clearly so.

Not quite.
 A Decree will establish a model dismissal letter  Possible to clarify or complete the reasons contained in the dismissal letter, after notification + to complete the reasons before court unless the employee already (unsuccessfully) asked for it to the employer (they probably systematically will) = Risk: unfair dismissal  Indemnity when the procedure is not fully compliant: max 1 month of damages  When one of the reasons for dismissal breaches a fundamental right (null and void = uncap damages then with a 6-month minimum), the judge should take the valid ones when deciding the amount of damages to award  The general deadline to challenge the termination will be reduced from 24 to 12 months (as long as mentioned in the dismissal letter)

You won't admit the truth when the rest of the world can see it. So what is the use in trying.

In fact I said I would ignore you. And I will. I have better things to do with my time. Like sticking pins in my eyes.

They haven't removed these rights though have they? They have reduced the basic right, but there is still unfair dismissal. The right to claim benefits in some circumstances,,,,, but the basic right is there. Will they be worse off than people in austerity Britain after all this?

Germany’s hidden hunger: On the breadline in Europe’s richest country

Around 1.5 million people are supported by affiliated Tafeln across the country, with countless more served by independent food banks. And according to a survey carried out by the federation in 2016, demand is growing.

“The German economy has been growing steadily for decades,” explains Manuela Barisic, project manager at the Bertelsmann Foundation, which recently published a report on the distribution of wealth in Germany.

“But huge numbers of Germans — 40% of the population in fact — aren’t enjoying any of that prosperity for themselves. Inequality and poverty are both growing.”

Older people have been hardest hit. The number of retirees living below the poverty line has increased from about 10% to 15% since 2005, according to a study published this year.

How does that compare to the UN report on Britain? Mild in comparison.

She was a Remainer, there’s no denying that. But, she wasn’t an enthusiastic on the campaign trail at all. She played the field in case the country voted to Leave — given what’s happened, this is self-evident.

As I say, she’s staked her legacy as a PM on delivering Brexit. She’s committed to this course. If she’s sabotaging this deal, hypothetically, she’s doing it at her own expense.

Not being on the campaign trail doesn't mean she wasn't enthusiastic about remaining. How about commenting on the link I put up for you?

Most of those on the campaign trail came out with the lies that was what Vote Remain told us. That was the official party line. But as you can see May said it as it is. How many others did?

Far right to discredit the UN?

So the EU countries that refuse to sign up are far right? Italy has gone fully against the UN so is it fully far right?

It happened in Brussels. A main home of the EU. It is yet another major protest with rioting. This isn't bigging up the right wing. It is mentioning what is going on. But I know some on here don't want rioting and unrest mentioning. But if it happened in the UK these same people would be all over it and blaming Brexit.

You posted a link to an article about a far-right protest of 5000 people from numerous countries.

It just comes across as another attempt to discredit the EU and now the UN after it highlighted the shocking levels of poverty in the UK.

At some point there’s going to come a time when the UK is going to have to look closer to home and take a good look at itself.

There seems to have been suggestions on here that the EU is all about making money for the wealthy and that somehow Brexit would combat this. I’m not sure whether these people are living in an alternate reality, the likes of Rees Mogg, Johnson et al couldn’t care less about the poor and those living in poverty.

'In summary, they accuse the former Rothschild merchant banker of being a “friend of the rich” who wants to break down hard-won workers’ rights, essentially turning France into another Britain or America. Rather than what exists in France now: a 35-hour working week; lots of days off, including the whole of August; and numerous other perks for workers, the head of state is more interested in an Anglo-Saxon type workforce – one that is more ambitious, profit-led, and industrious.'

Not remove rights as you claim, but reduce them to British levels. Funny how some moan about him, but fail to realise that his aim is bring the British system to France. Why aren't you asking for British workers to aim for French conditions if you are genuinely conserned about workers' rights?

Macron has removed rights - if he’s reduced them from what they are rights have been removed you dummy

Also - I repeat - the uk government has not attempted to hike fuel duties massively and has not reduced higher rate taxes to assist the wealthy in recent times.

He isn’t aiming to resemble Britain at all. France has a crippling income tax system for its citizens and the scale of national debt is rising.

Macron sees himself as an emperor over his people.

Also I do not think May, despite her many flaws, has been offering benefits to a bodyguard, has not tried to cover up lies the bodyguard made to the police and is not implicated in having had a homosexual relationship with said bodyguard at risk to national security. Has that enquiry been concluded yet?

It’s absurd. Unless you agree we need to keep doing it as most people in the uk do not want to be part of the Eu. What you are suggesting is exactly the type of democracy Stalin inflicted.

In the end the country will leave the Eu and this needs Eu be achieved as painlessly as possible - going through more and more votes will achieve nothing

You’re just playing with words. I said he reduced rights. Which is true.

He has said what his aim is. He is equated with Thatcher by some.

Whether May is homosexual or has a bodyguard has nothing to with it.
