Been trying to grab a little purple bin from the souvenir shops but everytime I go up there they haven't got them....Used to be loads in the shop on the corner by the Cavern....pop in every other week and still not got them. I've told them I have no interest in their shiny liverbirds...... I've got a little space on my shelf next to my yellow supelamb..... and its waiting for a purple bin !!!!!

Haha. Genuinely? Cant work out whether you're being sarcsstic ha. You'd be better off trying Utility on Bold Street if you want one!

We need to get this sorted. It’s getting serious now.
A hotdog is made from an androgynous frankfurter whereas the great British sausage batch uses a lovely seasoned meat and savoury filling in a containing skin.
Ps. Not to be confused with a sausage roll!

I’ve been quite quiet on this thread but feel I have to wade in now.
I think I would call the bread item that a hotdog goes in a batch. One could put a variety of items into to this...cheese and tomato, fried egg, bacon, tuna etc etc and it would still be a batch. However, the introduction of the hot dog to said batch makes it a hot dog not a sausage batch. In order to make a sausage batch one would have to put a sausage and not a frankfurter into the aforementioned batch.
I also consider the more rounded, crusty (or soft) bread item to indeed also be a batch.
If you were to put a frankfurter in this I would call it strange.

It's simpler than that.

A hotdog is American and a sausage batch is as English as you can get with the name stemming from the beating heart of UK and real capital of England.

Agree. The typeof dog in a hot dog is not one you would use for a sausage batch...!

Spot on that man....The City of Culture deserves to have it's sausage batch recognised as a gift to the nation.

Bloody hell. Are Faggot and Pea Batches still a thing in Cov? Jesus they are like heaven..

Sure there was a place at the top of Gosford street that used to do them real nice. Also remwmber as a kid being in the Cox Street WMC as a kid and them having them at half time in the bingo!

2 weeks on since the original post of costs and still no proof to prove that the boat company were lying and that £7k was charged for drinks.

Many people received their £20 back? I'm not on facebook so can't see the mayhem.

Looks like some people are trying to hijack the sausage post!
