Luckily I don't need to argue with you any more as most people seem to have noticed you are a clown since you started posting more. I thought you were one of those drips who hated any player who's been shite for ages being called out when you nearly pissed your pants over Simms getting stick. Turns out you are just related to Simms as you seem to have no issue with our top scorer being called a "waste of oxygen" and you seem to love joining in pile ons about a manager who has frankly been phenomenal for us.
You are one of the most clueless and easily rattled members of this forum and that is saying something.

Maybe I should start a thread with your name in the title dedicated to the absolute shite you've posted about Wright and Lampard?

You could start one, but it wouldn't be true Tom. I haven't slagged either off. Unlike yourself with Simms and Assante. Pages and pages.

I think you might be thick in the head, everyone has seen it you idiot. Tbh I might put you on ignore as I actually enjoy back and forth but not with you, you are an incredibly frustrating person.

I might miss watching you get dragged by other posters but at least I still see their replies and I'll miss nothing of worth from you, just a pile of posts slagging off Lampard and Wright because Frank plays him over your relative.

Go start your third thread dedicated to me you deluded weirdo.

You couldn't just enjoy the win yesterday, could you. Instead you had to post made up bollocks, ignoring the abuse you have dished out to players. You need to grow up

My wife made the point that flu has a long full recovery time. The extreme symptoms may go in a couple of weeks but one is sub par for a long period after that.

Could this be a factor in the loss of form? The flu outbreak was in December. Are we now winning again because finally the players are back to full fitness?

I think at their level it is probably more likely to be a factor than an ordinary person in a 9-5 job due to the impact it has on vO2 max. At their level even the smallest impact can be quite noticeable in a match.

I saw posts saying lampard doing what expected with cov 1st and sack him if he fails

Whilst saying robins doing a good job at stoke

This all comes down to being the manager to take on directly from robins and if people were honest they would admit it.

Not sure you are correct , what was many fans attitude towards mowbray when we fell off in the league 1 season .. i was very supportive still but huge amounts wanted him out .

Sure following on from robins is a big job but generally poeple like myself only seem to talk about robins these days when other people bring him up ? Am i wrong

I just don't see you turning on robins if he dropped a massive points lead I gotta be honest

As for mowbray I stood up for him then like im standing up for lampard now so my stance hasn't changed. Can't ignore the work that went into getting a great league position and only focus on losing it. With that logic managers who are midtable get less flack than someone who got close to success.

We squandered a lot of potential points in the weeks before that, being way too open when we didn't need to be.

If robins had lost a large lead second season without much past history i think fan feeling would be different .

Obviosly frank has done a good job , people were correct to question our form as we were in pretty bad form .

Ive mentioned te word robins 12 times since januray 1st .. you 19

Not alot but you talk about him more get over him mate

Lol look i love robins and happy to say that. I want stoke to go up though playoffs.

You said it yourself it's about the history. For me I think if a manager makes a good start you give him time to make that history rather than sack him cos annoyed we frustrantly missed our goal. He prob won't be here as long as robins was but he can cement himself as a massive figure in our history just like MR

He will be in 16th after the derby today probably.

But 3 wins on bounce and you bang in it again. I hope for him that it happens.

Edit- wait a minute one of those game sis Vs us so scrap that

you get relegated on 1 point a game average which i what we had for those 13 games

15 points over 13 games works out at 53 points over a 46 game season. That will comfortably be enough to stay up this season, so while not great form was not exactly relegation form either.

Over the long grind of a Championship season we were bound to hit a downturn at some point. Our exceptional start allowed that downturn to be longer than ideal, which is a context missing from your simplistic black or white posts on this, which don't account for those 13 games starting with a a severe flu bug, which weakened a number of our players and physically knocked them back over the relentless Christmas and New Year period, and tested our squad depth.

The issue of our squad depth has been resolved in the January window, and as a result it is highly unlikely we will have a repeat of that 15 point haul over the remaining 13 games. We are nevertheless likely to lose a few games before the season is out (maybe on Wednesday), but our promotion rivals will lose games too, so we would be wise to keep a balanced viewpoint of our situation and chances regardless of whether we win, lose or draw our next match. Some chance!

Boro fans said we have two play off contenders this week now. Sheffield hardly are and Stoke are just lucky they got a flying start as they really are relegation fodder

Think its time to just sit back and appreciate that i have no idea whats actually going to happen

Weve played pretty wank tonight for large parts at a team that form is very good over 20 odd games and weve won .

Under lampard we just seem to win matches and sometimes i have no fucking idea how ..

So yea he must be pretty good but hes fucking my head up

We’ve gone a bit more conservative and a bit more direct and it seems to have done the job. Onyeka certainly enables us to do that to some extent, but despite making loads of signings in January, most of them can’t get near the side and the side that Lampard seems to have settled on is mostly the one he started the season with.

Glad someone who is allowed opinions has said it. We just win games out of nowhere. Stats don’t say we should. Eye test doesn’t say we should. No one plays particularly well. PotS is our keeper by a mile yet we’re getting 4 points per game and 87 goal difference. Just got to sit back and enjoy it but it’s baffling. I really want to see us next year. I wouldn’t bet against us staying up in a similar fashion.

I don't think it's baffling, we've seen other teams do it year in year out.

Burnley did the double over us last season and didn't look particularly good in either game but produced a few moments of quality that were enough.

The United side that won Fergusons last league were turgid but they racked up the points.

Last night was exactly that sort of performance

There was a lot of poor use of the ball from both teams I thought, but I was impressed by our shape when we were out of possession. The only times they caused us problems were when we were playing silly buggers and giving the ball away with daft passes.

When they had the ball ‘naturally’ the shape was compact and difficult to break down.

Onyeka makes a huge difference.
Grimes last Jan, Rushworth in the summer, Onyeka this Jan - massive signings.

Also in that first half we got in behind them more than once, just couldn’t quite capitalise. We have ‘done a Hull’ xG wise but I actually think we looked a lot more difficult to break down.

Giving the ball away close to goal however and there’s not much Onyeka can do about it.

We've scored 70 goals. 70! The next most is 56. Proper shit football
So we've learned to shithouse some wins in the harder fixtures too? Seems like we have it all.

Onyeka seems to be more of a talisman because he made the fewest defensive contributions of all the midfielders, barely touched the ball yesterday and had by far the lowest rating of those who started, yet is still getting credit. I would say having a CB who can defend has done more for us tbh.
