Ignoring the facts that the club are responsible for public order on the footprint so have sought expert opinion to resolve the issue. Lots of other clubs close while roads outside stadiums and you seem to be ignoring this

The police still manage public order outside of the footprint but ccfc don’t pay for it

It’s acknowledged there’s a safety issue forcing lots of people through a small gap and the police are helping the club by taking another look at this.
I'm not ignoring any of that. I'm saying it's a very poor solution that causes more problems than it creates.

I've never even mentioned road closures. Of course clubs do this but to allow more fans access. We're putting fencing up to restrict access which happens nowhere.

If they think there is a likelihood of disorder then they should keep away fans in for 15 minutes as happens elsewhere.

Keeping away fans behind is the obvious solution

Ok and your expertise is??? Sorry I’m just trying to understand why you think you know better and want to take a pop? I will certainly make the point to the police that the better solution is to keep the away fans in the ground. As I said the situation there is not safe as it is so it is a live issue that the police ccfc and the sag are all looking at

And why do you think the police and the safety advisory group have chosen a different one? Are they incompetent? Or is this just about whining for whinings sake. This is the club being transparent and being led by the experts

Experiencing it for three seasons at the arena and for 30 years around the country.

Not that it's relevant. People are often put into positions of power that they are unsuitable for. It seems our local plod is latest on a long list if this is their response.

No idea, but I'd be a lot more comfortable with the away fans being held back for a bit while I'm walking down slippery steps through a tight space with my 6 year old son. Any sort of crowd rush and it would be bad news. That tunnel under the track is grim as it is.

The answer is:
a, The arena is completely different to any other football ground in the country
b, our fanbase is far more troublesome than any other fanbase in the country
c, they've made a poor decision

That I agree with and the point was made forcefully hence the ongoing review of the situation. Especially given the increase in the crowd numbers

Then I've got no idea why there appears to be an argument going on about it. I'll go back to watching from the side lines.

He is the public safety expert and I’m pleased we have such stringent rules on these things rather than a group of fans decide what’s best without taking any responsibility. He sounded pretty knowledgable and like I say the situation is under review

So the police the club and the safety advisory group have made a poor decision ok. As I say I’m content that there are safety issues with thousands of people walking through the gap at the same time

lol

The reported note talks about the arena footprint and public disorder substantially reducing since the fence solution was put in. What is different this year is the number of home fans and I do think this requires a rethink in terms of the space. A shame if the fence cost £30k to put up

Can't be arsed to read all of this but will anything be done about the underpass from Tesco's to the ground under the rail lines? It's absolutely filthy down there.

Only needs about 30 of us to turn up and sort it out. Maybe Nick or grendel will organise it
The members of this board organised a season ticket fund that has enabled loads of people who wouldn't previously have been able to attend football matches.

You're supposed to be presenting our concerns to the forum not shutting us down on behalf of the forum while being a condescending prick.

I’m trying it’s wasps or the councils responsibility to clean the underpass and we have been trying to get people together to spruce things up.

The frustration is with picking holes in everything cause you know better. Without looking at what’s been said

I'm picking holes in 1 thing, the stupid needless fence that is constantly causing issues.

You tow the party line and I'll have my parter walk behind me and hold my hand tight when she's being shouted at through the fence then coming face to face with people at the end. It was never an issue before it was up but it's a fucking joke now.

Did you read the minutes??? There were public order issues after every game. We asked and raised all these points and they are (now listen) reviewing the safety issue that the greater crowds are causing walking through a limited space. The issue they were trying to resolve was public order offences after every game on the arena footprint. Again if you read the minutes the club didnt answer this the police lead did. And do you know why it was a main part of the agenda and why the police were there??? No!! Because this forum raised it and I put it on the agenda and made sure it was raised.

Decisions are made by those in the room not those in the cheap seats saying boo

Bizarre rationale here Pete. Playing budget should be separate?
What’s bizarre rationale??? Extra money from getting more fans in. Can it be used for an extra wage. Well it could be or it might need to go on other items not budgeted for. You and lg are really trying hard to find stuff to hang me with
