Confirmed Signing Stephen Mfuni - LCB + LB (2 Viewers)

Glad he got a start and has the confidence to prove himself. He'll be an asset for us this season. Will be proper proud if he ends up becoming an England star.

Absolute unit at CB today, could be exactly what we needed and has a huge future ahead of him
 
I think the main concerns with him were that the sample size was so small it was hard to know how good he actually was based on the word of Watford fans who watched him play 8 professional games or Man City fans who watched him play 45 minutes of professional football. There are loads of players over the course of history who’ve looked great over that amount of games and amounted to nothing and equally loads of players who’ve looked awful intially and gone on to have great careers. Of course, two games for us still a small sample size but the early signs are very good. Hopefully he’ll get a real run in the team now and will continue the great early form.
 
He had a very good game today, and im sure will of gained a lot of confidence.

Pinnock looked much better today too after a poor couple of games.
We still need to tighten up in midfield, and offer more upfront, but it feels much better going into a break with our first goal and win under our belt.
Great to see JDS get on the scoresheet after an excellent start to the season.
 
Does he force 3ATB or could he push Pinnock out of a 4? You can’t drop your top scorer.

We can't keep buying unproven potential talent. Its the surefire way to go down as proven many a time. Defence is a key area to strengthen, needs to be proven experience there. This isnt it, dont care how 'rated' he is.

Callum Doyle was 18 and playing Championship look at him now, still a Championship player and not good enough for the top flight

One of the reasons I think we will stay up. From what has been said about him, if it's true we haven't seen anything yet.

His signing is very good for both sides. He gets the chance to show what Manchester City think of him is true and we get a player we couldn't afford, or would even be able to sign even if we could.

If he's as good as they think this will be his last loan and will play his part for them next season.
 
I can’t recall a teenager having as good a defensive debut for us as that. There must be someone surely?
