Confirmed Signing Stephen Mfuni - LCB + LB

Set to sign according to Alex Crook

Looks like he's LB or LCB which is interesting as we need both. Don't know much about the player.

Watford liked him. I’m assuming as a LB not a LCB

he’s meant to be the bollocks apparently

No mention if loan or permanent.

Gonna be a loan. He’s future England material by all accounts.
Risky age to slap in the middle of your defence in a struggling Prem team. If he goes LB then less risky. Looks another absolute unit.

Loaning an 18 year old defender in the prem 🫣 you’d hope we saved loans for unattainable experience e.g. Mudryk

A perm I can maybe understand if we see him as an asset we can make massive profit on

This best be a perm. An 18 year old to save our defence would be diabolical

Yeah not sure on this one.

He could be ridiculously good and let’s be honest to be playing in the championship at his age, you’ve got to have something about you.

But feel we need experience in the squad.

I’m hoping he’s coming in to compete for a CB position and be a backup LB and that there’s still a specialist LB to come. At 18 years old and 9 senior appearances in his entire career, he won’t be coming in as a definite first choice.

Doug’s a commodities and futures trader. The age and experience profile of our big money signings - Cherif, Yerinkyi, Amenda, Tchouana and this one if true - have the smell of if they do well then great, we will either stay up or sell for profit on relegation.

If it’s all too much for then, then they will be powerful in the Championship and we come back stronger with these players entering their prime and better able to compete. Assuming we can afford the wages with parachute payments.

surely it won’t be a loan

Im thoroughly underwhelmed

We can't keep buying unproven potential talent. Its the surefire way to go down as proven many a time. Defence is a key area to strengthen, needs to be proven experience there. This isnt it, dont care how 'rated' he is.

Callum Doyle was 18 and playing Championship look at him now, still a Championship player and not good enough for the top flight

Stinks of we've used our budget tbh

if it is a loan surely a top championship club would have made sense first

In my opinion we need some experience but we have to trust the process. To be fair he has some fantastic reviews.

You are always thoroughly underwhelmed though
